It's obviously subjective to a degree, but this wasn't my experience at all. I noticed a huge difference between 1.0 and the 1.5 I'm running at. Even more so with 1.25 SS and 1.5 HMD quality. Right on the edge of playability with my framerate though.

I also notice a difference between 1.0 and 1.25 but what I meant is I experience the difference way less than if I use a low res headset. Then we are talking about a huge difference. It is like 3k SS 1.0 is good enough .. for me.. but of course with a better gfx card thing will get even better. My guess is that 3k will be enough (given the pc hardware) for the next 2 years unless there is some breakthrough in e.g. eye tracking. It would be nice to try with a 1180 gtx when it comes out
