VJ New Video - Class 4PA

Well, mostly thanks to your excellent video I have been trying out the PACs lately, I decided to throw one under my FAS and I have been loving it! Is there anything more satisfying than blowing up a fleeing target with "surge detected" next to his name at 2.5-3km with a purple ball of death? I don't think so. It's just a thrill to use, the initiation potential is so good! I am terrible with fixed weapons, with lasers I have maybe 10-20% time on target, but with the PAC I don't need to hold the reticle on target, I just need to time the shot right and have it on target for a moment. So again, thanks for your videos, very inspiring and have definitely added to my enjoyment of E:D.

Very well done.

However still did not convince me to give up my class 4 gimbaled cannon

I'm a hardcore cannon user, I have 4 on my anaconda, but you should try the PAC, it's amazing, different, but amazing. I'll be putting a C4 on my Anaconda with 3 cannons so I can have something to switch to when my capacitor gets low and heat gets high. I do wish the impact sound was better on the PAC, the cannon's is so good.

Really good video +rep.

I recently started to use one 3PA on the FAS. I've never bothered before, mainly due to my ship of choice not being suitable. But the FAS is. I can vouch for all the tips in this video as they are all things I've found out myself through practice.

I recommend anyone who has watched this video to give it a try. It does take practice. I think what puts off a lot is that they have an aiming reticule and I think this makes people think "Ah, this should be easy, just aim for that and hit fire". But, as the video shows, there's a lot more to it than that. And then, they blame the reticule/weapon and just decide it's easier to go with another weapon.

Most of it is just learning how opponents behave and what that means to you; you still use the reticule, but less as a direct aiming tool and more an indicator of what's going to happen next (as VJ said in the video). Once you have this down, you'll really enjoy it.

I've been using the PA for a few days and I'm starting to pull off 1-2k hits on smaller ships, now. It's really rewarding when you fire off a judged shot and you see it sail gracefully through space to meet your target nicely.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it a lot!

Great video man!
I am one of the pilots that gave up on the PA too soon. Tried dual PAs in my FAS's medium hardpoints last night. Never going back. G3 beams and F2 PAs is a monster.
