Voice chat setup

What are your prefered key setups etc for voice chat in open play when using VR? And how best to use it? I'm a bit lost on how to set it up as I'm a wimp who hasn't tried open yet and has no friends to test any setups with also I dread the idea of jumping in and trying to talk to a real person while wondering if I'm muted/holding a key/ or just speaking straight into my new oculus. Surefire way to get myself shot for looking like I'm ignoring them. Also all the buttons on my Thrustmaster hotas are used up. Any advice other than jump in and get shot a lot.

No setup required, just call a player from the comms pannel and it works or wing up and it works. You can set a mute key but I don't bother.

As CylonSurfer says, it isn't hard. BUT make sure your mic and headset / speakers are working ahead of time by using Skype Test Call or something similar to make sure all is set up before booting Elite. You may have to tweak your sound settings and that is best done before heading into Open.

Forget in game voice.
Use discord or ts.

Thanks, I use Voice attack as well.....so will have to be careful what I say.
