Roller Coasters VOLT - A Mack Multi-Launch Coaster (inspired by HELIX) [WIP]

Details, as long as we understood what you meant ;) the only thing really wrong was "der". In this case: "die" ;)

Whoa, off topic alarm... i apologise

Yeah that's what was actually wrong. How you call it isn't so important.[wink]Great coaster by the way[big grin].

PS:pls end this off topic discussion^^

Wow, nice work! By far best transfer tracks ive seen in planet coaster.
Thanks!

I'm really digging the transfer table and the supports look great too. Also that storage/maintanance garage is great.
Makes my transfer tables look like crap. I wish I had the patience to make it this detailed, looks so realistic.
Thank you!

-----------------------

It's time for an update again.
Today, I present to you the first half of the waiting line.

First off, a collection of 6 images (click on it!):

The whole waiting line is integrated into the station building and starts in the basement.
Then, these stairs go up to the ground level:

A small outdoor section follows - right next to the transfer track.

Quick update!

Here are pictures of the second half of the waiting line. By the way: all the images are in proper sequence.

Left: This is the room where the people get back into the building after the short outdoor section from previous update.
Middle: The next small room. Yes, that is a window we are looking through into the room.
Right: Passege to the last and biggest room of the waiting line.

The last room of the waiting line.
People go down a set of stairs into the room. Left: This is another huge window. Because the station is on top of the hill the guests have a great view over the coaster.

Hi,
a late "Happy New Year" from me to you all!
I know it's been a while ... well, a third of a year actually.
But I made really good progress and the project is coming together nicely.
I'm confident that I will be able to finish the whole VOLT project before its first birthday in May.

For today, I brought along more pictures from the station, starting with an outer view of the prominent side of the whole building.
On the left, guests cross underneath an airtime hill to enter the main building.
Next, to the right guests can admire the coaster by taking a stroll over the roof terrace. By the way, thanks for the Vista Points, Devs!
On the right of the building, you can spot the huge window of the last waiting room that I showed in the last post.

Now we enter the station of the coaster. Someone should let those guests know that wearing a cap might not be good idea.

It's not like there is no way to put them. What about those lockable compartments? There's one row for each car of each of the three trains.

Maybe the main operator of the ride should let those guests know about...wait. . . . . . . where is he?

Let me know what you think and see you for the next update!

Hi,
I'm glad to tell you that I'm nearly done with the last touches on the project.
In the last months I built the remaining supports, created billboards, videos and music for the queue and started work on the onride music.
I also finished the lighting and played around with the new trigger features from the last update.
I hope I will be able to give you guys some more frequent updates from now on. There is still a lot that I didn't show yet.

Today's post focuses on the main building again, especially on the second floor where the coaster's exit is located.
On the right, guests leave the coaster through a small hallway. They can look down on the queue entrance on the left of the picture.

The hallway leads to the huge hall on the second floor of the building where the guests can purchase onride photos.
Well...it looks like they are short on staff today.

I put a lot of work into the roof of the building. I hope you like it!

Guests have access to the roof terrace from the second floor.

These stairs connect the ground floor and the second floor. Oh, and it has a water feature.

Of course there is also a merchandise shop that guests have to cross through to get back to the entrance.

Just one more corner and we are back at the main ground floor.
Here, guests can get some food or get back to the entrance of the coaster for a reride.

That is superb! The whole style of architecture is both realistic and dream-like at the same time. And yes, I do like the roof very much :)

Thanks a lot!

Today I brought along more pictures from the main building, but this time they show some more of its exterior.

We start with a view over the coaster taken from the bottom of the hill with the main building at the top.
The supports on the left and right inversions are all custom made.

I absolutely love this project. You've given it a great HELIX vibe and that can only be a good thing. The station building is great and is very inspiring. I may have to 'borrow" some ideas ;)
I can hear the HELIX soundtrack playing just looking at the pics.

This is stunning work.

I love how walls are not necessarily at 90 degree angles to each other. I've tried building non 90 deg angle walls and end up getting totally confused as to what belongs where (especially when you try and move something!)/

Congrats on a stunning piece of work.

Hi,
last time I have shown you the rest of the main building.
For this week I brought some more pictures of the actual coaster.

These four pictures show the bottom of the hill.
Picture 1 and 2 show the section between the first block brake and the second launch back up the hill.
Picture 3 and 4 show the stairs up the hill to the main building.

The second launch is followed by a roll over the main path to the station.

Looks awesome! Really got that Helix(Liseberg) feel to it! [heart]

Very inspiring modern/sci-fi architecture you've done there. [up]

This is so totally amazing!
It´s just so bad, that train-swapping is not possible on this type of coaster. It would look so much better with the Megacoaster trains. These boxy ones are plain ugly (in the game and in real life).

Hi,
this will be the last update with new pictures.
Until now, I have shown you everything about the coaster.
Today I brought along pictures of three little things around the coaster.

Let's start with an overview of the entire park.

c0a69acdafacd45498c5ab4ec4ca659133aaeee7.jpg

On the right, at the bottom of the hill, you can spot a giant frisbee ride called 'Charge'.
I added it to draw more peeps into the park and Liseberg has one of those as well.
Let's take a closer look at it.

2150e6b242ee7f7635e7f99081a02b755f138be1.jpg

And a few more shots of the entrance, queue- and exit-building and the ride itself:

The second little thing is small viewing platform from where guests have a nice overview of the park.

And the third thing is s service road that leads to the back of the station building to the maintenance shed.

The project is pretty much finished now. I may make a video and I'm still working on the onride soundtrack. I will release the park on the workshop when I'm done with those things.
