VR anyone else incorrect HMD overlap/positions while loading?

When Elite menu opens everything is fine but while it shows intro movie screen positions are incorrect.
The same thing I am experiencing in DCS (game) stereo overlap/screen positions are wrong.
Screen gets together only in main game in Elite or when using vive home/through games.
Also in SteamVR when direct mode is enabled same thing - screen positions are incorrect.

I have to admit in that case when direct display is enabled or those situations when displays/stereo overlap placed incorrectly (DCS game for example) resolution is a lot more sharper and clearer - I would say perfect or even day and night comparing.

Is there a solution on the DCS forum?
As it is only the intro movie, and it is easily skipped, provided the main game is functioning as intended, it could be ignored as 'it happens', surely?

In case of DCS it is all the time and can't be skipped.
But starting ELITE is also annoying when your eyes f*** with each other.
You need time for them to relax after that or you have to wear off headset while it is loading and it is not so comfortable keeping in mind Vive Pro 2 has that small sweetspot what needs to be adjusted before playing.

As i understand there is something related to using SteamVR or not using or using VIVE sotware or not using.
Using it or not using it povides drasticly different experience not only in eye/screen positioning but also in resolution terms.

As for me... I would exchange/chenge/give away all the VIVE blurry mess with all their games and VRChats to exchange with what "Direct Mode" offers in terms of clarity
The only problem is that eye/screen position.

So I dont know is it windows failure, or is it AMD graphics driver failure, or is it even HMD failure itself.
Guessing if eye/screen/stereo overlap positions are normal in VIVE then physicaly device is working as intended.

But I neeeeeed! I need! I Want! To FIX that and I really do need help with that.. I just bought that thing....

There are images perfectly describing my problem but that forums does not solve any problem.
Just everyones blah blah blah about that problem but no solutions...

Are you talking about 4.0 or 3.8? Back when I still played the old client, I had the same feeling on the intro screen - the dark blue starfield one that is fixed to the headset and moves with it - like the pupillary distance was messed up or something. I have not had this issue since switching to Odyssey though.

I dont actually know I have to check it again when I will be at home.
But I am launching from Steam, I don't know what is default version but it does not ask me what version to choose it launches automatically into game.

But yeah this is what I am talking about and.... Want to find out why is it so and fix that.
Because it is not only Elite, this issue is in some few other games as well.

All I can say is that loading screens in DCS have always been a horrible mess, in particular since I upgraded from a Rift CV 1 to the Quest 2, and the VR positioning has always been wrong (meaning the MiG-21 here). The only screens that work ok are the main menu after initial loading and when finally inside the cockpit. Otherwise, I get all kinds of ghost images and usually can't even read the loading counters (below the plane image) correctly. Sometimes, the Steam VR overlay mercifully hides the gory details while loading unless you move your head forward and I live with it. And the HMD recenter button is a must anyway. It's workable at least, though. Using Virtual Desktop here because of the better performance and image quality, as it can use the HEVC codec. IIRC it's the same with RiftLink (cable) or AirLink (wireless), though, and I haven't found a solution. DCS loading got a lot worse since the Quest 2, maybe because of the upsampling and the higher resolution, who knows. Once inside the plane, everything is perfect, including the options overlay an such.

With EDO, though, I have never experienced such problems. The head position is usually off, but I habitually press Recenter HMD anyway on the main menu and am good (except for clicking the game window before to enable focus which it usually doesn't have). Not that that may help that much here, the Quest 2 is a wireless device and different from a true PCVR HMD, but it's not notably different from how it was with the Rift.Compared to DCS, the image is sharper even, and I click the intro clip away anyway. From the logo and calibration screens on, it's usually ok. YMMV.

O7,

Actualy I am only one week into Virtual Reality and I already can say that SteamVR software is a mess!
I don't know how and who made this but looks like they made it with finger...

There should be a lot more options - more than supersampling increase over nobody knows over what.
Every position (left right top botoom height width roatation calour brightness) there are nothing about that.
You can't override anything and set even fixed resolution what you need and for what you need.
Nobody knows what is done with the image before it is sent to HMD.

Devices like VR headsets should have all those details it is an expensive product and every human have their own physical limitations or disatvantages or advantages or needs.
I can only say in year 2023 it is terrible to see how it's all made.

Also in headset itself I can invent at least 3 new things that would make whole thing a lot different and comfortable and useable and it does not cost any much or it is not any astrophysics to make it real. I just don't get what those developers and engeneers thinking about when developing souch a things.
I think with the right tools and budget and garage I could built myself an increably lot lot better headset than I'v ver seen so far.
This technology is not that difficult and humans are into this nearly century.

We have tons of settings for GPU's for flat screens (for example AMD's Adrenaline Edition Control Panel) but for "This" we have nothing really!
One single slider for supersampling (in case of VivePro2 it's even dynamic somehow) for whole VR visual experience thing? Commoon!!
I I I I Im.. I just confused... I don't understand W.T.F is happening!
