20m for a combat ship with only 2 hardpoints(even if they are large)? Yeeesh, I hope those guesstimates are wrong.
Certainly hope they are not. So that dem happy triggers begin to understand what rebuy cost means.

It might be more nimble, but I imagine the Python will still eat it.
The stats imply it's smaller, but it sure looks close. It uses a small landing pad, has a smaller hull mass, and lower shields, armor and top speed. So far, anyway.
It's gigantic gunboat that has a considerable amount of potential cargo space.. basically a multirole ship.
Considering the vulture is essentially pair of engines with giant guns attached to them, it makes little sense that it's normal travel speed is so low. However, people are boosting the Vulture to 380/390 depending on loadout, so that's only about 20 slower than a very light viper.
I also never understood how the python was suppressed to be a "fighter" of any sort from the beginning. It's gigantic gunboat that has a considerable amount of potential cargo space.. basically a multirole ship.
Time for Python fanbois to demand a buff, since it made complete sense that the nearly Anaconda sized Python used to have maneuverability and speed more like a Cobra or Viper 1/3rd its size...
... which will shut down all the time if you try to use A graded equip (power plant, thrusters and distributor , don't even think of using more A-graded stuff) and more than 2 pulse lasers. Yes, it performs very well in combat but the undersized power plant takes away most of the Vulture's potential. I don't get why FD thinks that ship tiers / progression are bad. I would not have a problem with a 300M ship outperforming a 2M one, especially now that there are wings. The vulture is going to be a beast.
can't acces beta, but i'm eager to try slapping 2 fixed beam on it, might have a great bounty hunter indeed, removing the need to re-ammo would be nice, currently the best i found in that regard is a viper with 2med fixed beam and 2 small gimballed cannon's, can't afford asp or bigger yet (well i could but not with the fitting and enought spare $$ to rebuy when i get killed)Comparing a Combat Ship to a Multipurpose ship.
What do you think?
I melt ships with my 2 Large hardpoints on my Clipper, I rarely use my medium cannons.
The vulture is going to be a beast.
There is a thread on Beta forum of people fully kitting the Vulture and they are reporting it's a monster as a bounty hunter.
Yes, it got limitations. But it's perfectly balanced, price not withstanding.
Here is my first impression after fighting with the Vulture against a bunch of different types of ships, including the FDL...which kicked my butt pretty easily.
Very cool looking ship +
Very good turning speed/radius +
2 guns -
Poor Power Balance -
Essentially I really liked flying it and it is VERY TOUGH....I got hit by a BUNCH of NPC cops...lots and lots of them and even with no shields and a hole in the windshield it just kept on killing them.
Big PLUS for hull strength.
Big MINUS for power... Two Big Beam Lasers are impossible to use. It's a real hassle to balance modules so that it can get out and kill. There is not enough power to make it very versatile. I think if power was boosted, and 2 medium or small guns were added, it would be a perfect fighter. But that's not gonna happen, so I'd say it's a fun ride but not a good choice as your main ship unless you just want to kill NPC's.
