Whilst many vessels are not ideal for screenshots you can do a High Resolution Screenshot from further out with Alt+F10 (Solo/Private modes only) and then edit the image to crop out the canopy.

You should be able to get a very nice image at your natural resolution by cropping/resizing a High Res image, even with a restrictive canopy.

Actually it only displays up to 200 but if you have more than 200 and go down to the bottom grouping of 20 systems it will keep generating a list of 20 until such times as you actually have less than 200 to sell at which time the list will start getting shorter. I sold maybe 500 system scans the last time I came in.
Good news.
Doesn't square with some peoples' experiences though.
That assumes they have reported correctly and not made any assumptions.
Personally I have not explored very much at all, just enough to become a Scout during my trading runs. So I have no first hand experience of the issue. I reported second and third hand accounts because the impact upon those people seemed very large indeed. 1500+ systems explored and most of it seemingly a waste.
That's why I brought it up.
It is possible it's affecting some and not others, assuming it's there at all. I can't say for sure.

I've been bouncing around, exploring with my Cobra, armed and shielded. The 18t tank gives me some distance and I can fuel up as I go as well as being able to earn more cash by submitting to pirates and killing them. I have covered 300ly so far and am slowly moving inwards from out near the edge of the galaxy but I'm also kind of meandering as I go. Going around a system and charting every planet is making the money for my upgrades.

The largest possible fuel tank is always fitted to a ship on purchase.
I didn't check for my previous ships (Sidewinder and Adder), but when I bought a Cobra, I upgraded my fuel tank. The stock one was small. I don't remember which one was the stock one, but I upgraded to the 16T one (which I remember wasn't easy to find; I didn't even know such a big fuel tank even existed :p)

So at least for a Cobra, the large one does *not* come with the ship. Unless there's a difference in each shipyard, where some give you a different stock loadout, I don't know.

I bought mine in Eravate or somehwhere there, and it did come with a 16t fuel tank. All of my ships have come with max fuel tanks equipped. I hink the system was Yakabugai, perhaps.

Unfortunately, the sky doesn't scale. If you do a high resolution screenshot and then crop out the view, it's gonna be pixelated, since it's simply getting upscaled for the high-res screenshot.

Only actual objects render at the high resolution (ships, stations, planets, etc.)

Sorry folks, gonna ask this question this question again (and add to it), once bodies become 'explored' do they remain so forever on the game server? that is to say the game 'map' is updated, and potentially (with a long enough time and enough explorers) every system could be explored? Also, in terms of exploring for cash, is it the discovering of objects within a system that pays, or....is it the detailed scanning of them that brings home the bacon? As a personal progress update....not sure if you want one! but I explored a little in my local area last night with a hauler, I see a good few players in open mode, but many unexplored areas...I was surprised that there was as much to explored as I did.

Thanks again.
