Who are we?
A squadron formed to promote, support, and defend Free Marlinism.
We have room for all skill levels and career tracks. Because the movement is so new and it is a major Galnet storyline, you have many opportunities to contribute to Elite lore and shape the future of the galaxy.
What are our goals?
To protect the newly established Marlinist colonies and to work towards the formation of a Free Marlin Republic. A Republic where players elect the leaders, set policy, and drive the actions of a major galactic power.
What is our ideology?
We are “Free Marlinists” which means we believe that instead of continuing to try to reform the Empire, we should follow the example of our movement’s namesake, Marlin Duval, and set out to establish a new, independent representative democracy in unsettled space. The Marlinist Colonies are the opportunity to do just that. So unlike “Reform Marlinism” and “Neo-Marlinism”, we do not wish reconciliation with the Empire or revolution within the Empire but instead to live our lives in peace under an independent representative democracy in accordance with the republican ideals of Marlinism.
Our motto, "per vigilantia venit libertate" means "through vigilance comes liberty."
Why Dark Wolf?
Ancient legend tells of a village where a rare dark wolf was spotted on several occasions.
In the legend two warriors set off to hunt down the wolf to protect the village, but when they find the wolf it reveals itself as an ancient spirit to help the people remember the traditional way.
The dark wolf had emerged to teach a lesson and to guide the people through chaos to help restore order and harmony in their lives.
Additionally, a she-wolf is said to have nursed babies Romulus and Remus and became a symbol of the ancient Roman Republic.
Finally, as well-known pack animals of Earth, the wolf is a symbol guardianship, ritual, and loyalty.
Wolves are highly organized, disciplined, and if any member of the pack falls in trouble the others rush immediately to help.
In this dark hour where Marlinists have been persecuted and chased out of the Empire, threatened with extinction because of the evil acts of those claiming Marlinism in name only (Neo-Marlinists), and now having our new colonies under attack from Federal and Independent factions, we members of the Dark Wolf Marlinists have been chosen by fate to lead our people through these dark times as protectors and watchful guides of the traditional way.

Are you interested in joining the fight for representative democracy in the galaxy?
If so then take the steps below:
1. Connect with us Discord. This will allow you to get to know us before applying for the squadron (I will be there to answer your questions if you want) as well as coordinate strategy and to wing up with other Cmdrs once you have joined.
2. Apply to join our squadron on Inara.
3. If you are on PC, apply to join the squadron Dark Wolf Marlinists [DWFM] via the right hand panel in game. If you are on XBox or PS4, we hopefully will have squadrons there soon and you may just be the Patron to start it.
