Want to purchase second account: access to Horizons, paint jobs, weapons colors?

But but but... If they can paint their own ships how do we nickle and dime them?

They can still sell preset symbols and even colors, or a premium fee for painign your ships. becaus ehonestly ED's sip customisation si si outdated it hurts in 2018.

That is amazing!

How does that work with multiplayer? What I mean is, when you encounter another player, how much data has to be sent over the network in order to recreate their ship on your screen?

Well its probably temporarily replaced with a placeholder until it's laoded. in APB most customised cars are just black until laoded but it shouldn't take much time unless oen has a very bad PC and/or connection.

I'd pay for a second slot on my account but I won't buy a second account.

I've spent far more on game extras than I did buying the game - including Horizons.

I bought the stuff as much as a kind of voluntary subscription as because I needed paintjobs I hardly ever see, and was happy to do it: it still works out at less than 15p/hr for my gaming fun, compared to over £1/hr for the single-player console games I used to consume.

Still, I've bought the stuff and paid for it, and I expect to have access to it whenever I'm playing the game. So I'd feel cheated not having access to my stuff on a second account, and since I don't like feeling cheated, no second account for me.

This is pretty much how I'm leaning. Would pay $5-10 for an additional player slot but do not want to have to deal with a second account and/or not have access to the paint jobs, bobble heads and weapons colors I've already paid for.

Additionally, I'll give F-Dev the benefit of the doubt and assume there's a technical reason behind not having in-game character slots. However, I would totally pay a few bucks per slot if they could make it happen.

If and when one buys a different platform, one can request from FDEV a transfer of assest from the old platforms account to a new different platform account. One looses everything but the total of all one's material objects like ships, mods, and spendable cr's (Total Assests). I'm not sure about pc's but consoles can have multiple accounts, via their platform and just like the original, start as a brand new noob at day one in the sidewinder at the stater system. In the main menu, threre is a process where one can completely wipe their entire status and restart the entire game from scratch and start anew. It comes with a couple of warnings, because it can't be undone.

After 16 months on a ps4, I switched to an xbox one x, requested a transfer from fdev, and though I had billions and billions of cr's, I started the new game which I had to buy for my xbox from the very beginning in a sidewinder as a noob. Though I had billions and billions of cr's, everything else was gone gone gone. No rank, no engineer's unlocked, no permits unlocked, etc etc etc. Obviously, it was a very short time before aquiring my previous ships Python, two Conda's and a Challeger, all of which were immediately "A" graded. But I accumulate any and all materials needed and unlock all my favorite engineer's again. Having been there before, loosing my status of both KING and ADMIRAL wasn't a big deal inso much as I know I'll never need a Cutter or Vette again. I'm a member of the Alliance and thus don't ever have to do those grinds again.

Why would you switch over to a system that lacks the touch pad to give your custom settings that extra snazzy brilliance? PS4 you hoad has opened up a mass of additional variations for me.

Just a shame FD didn't add covas to the speaker.
