The manual states that Cowell and MgRath shipyards supply (and possibly manufacture) the Cobra Mk III on behalf of Faulcon DeLacy*. I've always envisioned them as an independent (although BIG) shipyard company based on Lave with one of the biggest franchise contracts in existence - supplying spacecraft to GalCop pilots.



*Basis for this assumption comes in two separate quotes:

To be honest, I'd rather leave you to be creative about it. I can mention other corporations who have been present in the Elite Universe, or you can listen out for them on the Lave Radio episodes. I might also suggest a look at the previous newsletter (not this week's one) where you can see several Corporation names in the cockpit design section.

Logos are likely being looked at by the game designers for a revamp, if they exist, Dave Hughes may know where to find some old ones.

Thanks mate.. Like my sig and avatar... My own pixel art... I plan to run an alliance obiviously called Proteca which provides protection serrvices for traders etc, pilots will also act as wingmen for military missions and side line in bounty hunting... To what extent depends on what the mechanics allow... But I plan to invest a lot of resource into it!!! Hopefully Proteca pilots will provide the ultimate in personal safety and will guarantee against any loses incurred.

I don't think there are any canon logos for corporations in the Elite universe. The only official one is the golden bird / robotic avian / golden griffin / whatever they want to call the official Elite logo this week.

After Allen mentioned something about designing a logo for Faulcon deLacy recently I gave it a go, but it consistently looked crap so I gave up. I might give it another go.

Likening them to car manufacturers today - wouldn't ship commercials feature their latest models, rather than just advertise the company?
