[WARNING] FSS bug can cost millions per system !!!

Has been like that ever since V3.3 FSS went live.

Only the Codex - and by virtue of its nature only once per Terraformable Planet type - will highlight a Terraforming Candidate.
If max. Credits from Mapping are desired, the System Map is indeed the only way to assess the Planets.

That's why one checks the system map after using FSS in every system.
No terraformables left unnoticed. :)
That is good practice :)
But totally irrelevant as this is a bug that has just been introduced(or not as falconfly said). Many of us(I guess) have got used to seeing the HMC Terraformable results in the FSS for a quick getaway. ;)

In my experience, the terraformable info is displayed briefly only when you encounter a planet type the first time (for you) in new area of the Galaxy.
Otherwise it wasn't shown in 3.3.00 & 3.3.01 either.
Pondered reporting it as a bug briefly, but forgot about it.

Exploration became lucrative at 3.3 launch, introducing probes/mapping made that happen. :)

I already had billions prior to the start of the expedition, but I'm guessing I'll (we'll) all make a billion or so off this trip. Compared to my first DWE, aye yi yi.

I did a very quick bubble-BP-Colonia run at bucky ball pace, being very, very selective with my cherry picking, I made about 230m cr when I landed in Colonia. I made 254m cr on my first trip to Beagle Point - and that was pretty much scanning 50% of everything I came across (the other 50% being the icy planets/rocky worlds etc). and I had a jump range of 31.7LY back then, and took a much less direct route. It also took me nine months.

This trip took a couple of weeks, playing an average of about an or or two a night. It's a very different world in terms of money making. I expect to get from Colonia to the bubble, and catch up with the fleet in a 3-5 days, once I get back to my gaming rig - I also expect about 50m cr from Colonia -> bubble.

Z...

I did full scan of maybe 50% of the systems I have gone through during 1st leg (I am landed in Omega now) and got about 15 millions, much appreciated. I did not scan the surface of planet, only System full scan. And I discovered some remaining, actually.

For comparison I finished 1st leg on 36M Cr, hardly did scans but when I found WW, ELW, or Terraformable HMC I surface scanned them.
Mapping surface is around a 5X multipier.
1st Discovery is around 3X now.

I have gotten terraformable revealed, gotten discoveries from it, but you are right, the ui does not indicate if or if not something is terraformable, only system map and such does that, not so much a bug as an oversight, generally I fss then check systemmap for what to map, and see it there.

EDDiscovery on a 2nd monitor is my way to check it the fast way, BUT I would like to see some clear mark on the FSS while using VR.
