Horizons WARNING - Latest NVidia Drivers caused major issues - Version: 375.86

Generally speaking, you should wait on driver upgrades until the community gives the all clear. Nvidia has had sever very poor driver releases in the last few months necessitating temporary hot fix drivers being issued. This was yet another example.

Which (evidently) has been hotfixed...

At least on my single GTX 960 the latest update seems to work really well.

Totally agree. As some others have said in this thread, unless you have a new game that is on a new driver's list of support updates, changes etc. there is no benefit to upgrading unless your current driver has been causing problems for you with your existing games.

ED hasn't had any posted changes in a very long time that would warrant a driver update specifically for this game.

Well, I have the 460, and it ran EDH absolutely beautifully until the most recent ED update along with the NVidia drivers. I tried rolling back the drivers and it only marginally helped. I think that some of the things they changed in EDH are also to blame. Again, I had zero issues before with my system and card.

Unfortunately for you the 460 falls below the minimum requirements for the game, there really isn't much you can do other than upgrade your system now. Turning the resolution down to 720p may well help you somewhat however.

They did increase the graphics resolution for planets in 2.2, so if you were borderline before this update that might have been what tipped you over the edge. I would suggest backing off your terrain rendering settings a bit and see if that smooths things out.

Thanks for all the info in this thread. I updated the driver two days ago and noticed unusual problems while playing (such as the stuttering). Just rolled my drivers back.
