How about having IDA installed? Also, having to phone them up after using up your "activation limit" just plain sucks. The car analogy doesn't work at all because, well, it's simply not fitting. You can't just copy a car, for starters.
Bottom line: Denuvo is a short-term investment protection device for publishers. It has no benefits for customers, only drawbacks and limitations. Whether you perceive those as severe or not is up to you.
