I love how ominous the carrier jumps are. I know a lot of folks don't like the COVAS on it, but I think it adds to the "this is kind of terrifying" feel. I Imagine it's extra freaky in VR lol

Try it with VR and a transducer attached to your gaming chair. Sound and visual dept never disappoint.

Safety reasons. The hyperspace slipstream could rip you off the pad and tear you to pieces. 100% true.

yeah they're pretty sweet. I'm hoping to be able to afford one eventually. I'm a billionaire now but that money can easily go away if I even buy just one large ship

It does, but I think it's inappropriate when we pay an upkeep to maintain people and in the end we have a robot talking on the intercom

For those not aware, when you set the jump destination, a signal Source is created at the arrival point 10mins (before arrival) for anyone that wants to see you arrive.

Given the backstory of what capital jumps involve and how dangerous they are, I'm not sure I'd trust people to do it right =D But yea, I guess they could at least put a person on there. "Uh...
