Watch your own ship land - fleet carriers?

Hi. new to fleet carriers and I've just transferred my Cobra Mk5 to it from a neighbouring system. I sat in my FC seat and watched ships landing at the time mine was due to arrive, thought I saw it land - is this possible in game?. If so, what a lovely touch, maybe it wasn't my ship, coincidence, not many chromed Mk5 around?. If anyone has the answer, thanks.

Did you know: You can set a destination to jump your carrier to and then fly a ship to the destination just before it arrives and you can watch the carrier jump in...

Or, if you're really unlucky, you can get rammed by it as it arrives.

Also, if you like "sticking it to the man", you can pay to transfer a bunch of ships from a station 20 minutes of transfer-time away and then schedule a 500ly jump for your FC. :p

Ships/ modules are transferred instantly, then have a timer before you can access the transferred ship or module. There is no in game representation for this (ie the ship being flown and delivered) and we are now stuck with that outcome due to people loudly demanding Frontier to never touch it again, when they dared ask if that should be modernised.

So you can forget it ever being a meaningful mechanic. Yay.

As an aside, this is one of the many reasons a Carrier is very helpful as (once modules and ships are moved to it) it's often much faster (and in some cases cheaper) to jump the carrier to your location (or return to it), than it is to transfer.
