I am surprised we do not have any management gameplay that revolves around water treatment in our parks.
Water Treatment Facilities is something that has been in Jurassic Park Media before with Telltale's Jurassic Park: The Game and in Camp Cretaceous which was occupied by a Nothosaurus. It makes sense within the context of the JP/W universe that an artificial park would have to monitor the water to make sure it is healthy enough to drink and could accommodate the many large animals in the park.
The animals in the game outside of lagoons get their water from these artificially built meter deep pools with no natural form of motion with the likes of waterfalls or rivers. Having the water stand still for so long should introduce dangerous diseases and parasites that would be harmful to your dinosaurs, and water quality may not be consistent with the many biomes in the game.
Similar to Planet Zoo, I think water management could be a part of JWE2, where we place down a few treatment facilities in our parks in order to maintain safe drinkable water for our dinosaurs. Not only could we maintain filtration, but we could also modify the treatment facility if we want to make the dinosaur more resilient to certain diseases, improve the lifespan for certain animals, and may even make the dinosaur more comfortable and be able to tolerate outside forces. If such a mechanic could be introduced, it could really add to the strategy of water placement in the enclosures and make us think twice about incubating dinosaurs with the thirsty trait.
