Waterpark Expansion?

Logo_present.jpgLogo_present.jpg
Does anyone here think there should be a waterpark-style DLC for PlanCo, akin to RCT3 Soaked back in 2005? I think there should be to make th entertainment package a little more complete!

I guess they may prefer to take waterparks down a separate path from PlanCo

It's just a guess obviously, no insider info or anything, but it would seem a kind of obvious thing to do because a) after Coaster, Zoo and Jurassic World there's not much more scope left for new 'park' type games and b) there is probably enough scope for a separate game which is largely water-based.

Anybody from FDev reading this will either be thinking 'lol, this guy' or 'oops, we've been rumbled'. Only time will tell.

Hmmm if you ask me, there is not enough meat on them bones for a fully fledged Waterpark Game.

not as a stand-alone game, but why not like RCT3 soaked?

IMO water parks should be combined with full-scale hotels and resorts to make the game Planet Lagoon, hopefully that will come out in 2024 as an expansion to Planco2

Frontier told hundrets or thousand times that won‘t happen
didnt they say it wont happen as a DLC or expansion to Planco1? i dont think they specifically said it will never ever happen. Its just not currently possible within the original Planco1 engine. Im betting a water park game will be announced at some point (even if its still 3-5years away)

That‘s what I meant... cause the thread opening post was clearly talking about a waterpark dlc... and frontier told that it won‘t happen.

Does anyone know what the issue is with the Planco engine and why it’s not compatible? And does anyone know if planet zoo shares the exact same engine?

It’s because they cut corners with water physics, but RCT3 they were able to do water park elements. There is a water park game called Water Park Tycoon though. There are some nice slide pieces on the workshop to make fake water slides, or you can use the log flume.

  • Make Pool
  • Place Slide
  • Place another slide
  • Place another slide
  • place showers
  • place (lounge) chairs
  • done
  • turn off game

Yep, I think I'll get tired of it very soon.

There are some Waterpark Games out there, none of them look like fun.
Anyone here ever tried such a game?

turn off game
Luuknoord, as somebody who is frequently posting here, and who I am sure has read many of my posts, I find it frustrating that you would dumb down water parks to such a degree. I will admit and agree with you (and others) that Water Parks would not make for a good stand-alone game (like Planet Zoo) but they could add a lot of potential for an expansion to Planco2 (just like RCT3)

IMO water parks should also be combined with full-scale hotels and resorts for a game called Planet Lagoon. It wouldnt just be about Slides and Pools, it would include new management features, lifeguards, hotel lobbies, changing rooms, lockers(which was a huge request back when Planco was still fresh/popular). It could also incorporate stage shows, large restaurant buffets, golf, and more. Not to mention additional flat rides, mostly water themed ones but not entirely. It would just have to be backward-compatible with Planco(2) similar to RCT3+soaked!

Many many people have created water parks in Planco already. Would you like me to post links of videos from youtube showing you all the amazing water parks people have created within this current game? Or how about all the amazing stuff people created with RCT3 15 years ago? Yea obviously you think RCT3 is ugly, whatever, people still enjoyed that game a lot.

Obviously, theres a few vocal "water park haters" that lurk around these forums, but there was a large portion of fans requesting water parks back when this game was still fresh and exciting. The majority of players dont want another scenery DLC pack with a few track rides.

Planco2 is still nothing more than a idea.

I'm stating my dislike for a Waterpark expansion for Planco1 and explaing why I think a stand-alone game MIGHT not be fun, which is my fair right to do so. If they publish Planco2 with Waterparks, who am I to complain.

No, please don't bore me anymore with your video's. "Amazing" in your eyes, and the eyes of the creator. Not in mine.

You can read minds? Or are you just a very unkind person?

Even the quotation marks can't hide who you are talking about. And again someone you speak for the entire community where he has no right to, while I only place my personal opinion without the need of emphasizing that with "claiming how much people want something". It's my opinion that counts for me. Not that of others, even when they agree or disagree.

I actually turned of ignore earlier this week, because some of the things you said where constructive for once. But oh dear, once someone doesn't like a idea which is on your no.1 spot, we get unfriendly again. Guess we head back into ignoring you. (n)

You are not in the position to lecture others.
