Does abandoning the mission get rid of the passengers?

Did I do the hashtagging right?
Hashtags are evil.
But to answer you (and the OP), no, you can't directly eject passengers.
However you can get rid of them by circumventing the problem and convincing THEM to eject themselves.
When you abandon a passenger mission, the passenger usually asks you to take him to the nearest port (i.e. next time you dock somewhere, they're gonna sod off), but if it takes you too long, they will actually eject.
Also decreasing their "happiness" (getting scanned, shot, rammed, whatever applies) will eventually lead to them abandoning ship.
The only downside is that you're gonna need to refurbish your cabins before taking another mission (replacing pods and laying new carpets isn't cheap)
Passengers can only eject themselves. Arguably this makes sense, because captains typically don't demand airline staff crack open the doors at 40,000ft because the passengers are being annoying. That said.. it'd be good if we could. Just sayin..
The most expedient ejection option, is to abort the mission, via the left menu. For some reason your passengers decide the most appropriate course of action is to steal an escape pod and bail out. The thieving little buggers.
Side node; Frontier, when they punch out, if it's in normal space, I want to collect their escape pods (like cargo) and, in order to 'keep it green', recycle them at the nearest facility. Like aslave marketerrblack marketI mean, rescue contact. Yes. "rescue contact". *cough*
Alternative option: slavery offers on all passenger missions.
captains typically don't demand airline staff crack open the doors at 40,000ft
Then they'd be in a pod. What fun would that be to eject them?
