Update
No longer actively matching players to groups
o7 Commanders!
I'm working on a project where I'm helping to match players with the squadrons (or groups) that they fit in best with (more on how we're doing this below). We're just getting it off the ground, so we're constantly working to improve in order to provide the most value to both players and groups. Right now we are growing our portfolio of squadrons, so if your squadron is interested in working with us, let me know. As we continue to grow our squadron list, we'll be able to provide better custom recommendations to players!
For Squadrons and groups: removed
For players looking for groups: removed
If you have any questions, criticism, ideas, or advice, let me know!
Appreciate it,

I've included some info on our process below (also on our website):
When a group signs up to be listed in our database, we'll send them a form where they'll provide us with their info. That way, we will know what types of players they are looking for, instructions for how those players can join, and most importantly, what makes their group unique. After we get their response, we'll chat with them so we can meet any of their needs that aren't covered in the form.
When a player comes to us in search of a group, we'll have them fill out our player form. Like our group form, this will tell us what type of experience they're looking for. We'll also collect info on how long they've been playing, what languages they use, and when they are active so we can make sure we find them a group they can easily play with.
When we match players, we look through our database of groups and provide a few options that we think will be a great fit. At this point, it's up to the players to reach out to their prospective groups and find the one they like best!
We think our approach offers a few key benefits:
First, we do our best to distribute our recommendations across all of the groups that we work with. This way, recruitment success for squadrons isn't entirely dependent on their internet visibility. We get it - you all have lives outside of Elite Dangerous. When you have free time, you want to spend it playing and managing your group, not worrying about forum posts and squadron ads.
Second, we make the process of finding a group more streamlined for players. You won't have to spend as much time scrolling through forums and searching Inara. We'll provide you with a few options that we think match your playstyle and interests the best.
Third, and finally, our hands-on approach allows us to ensure quality matches for everyone. For players, we only recommend groups that we think will provide a great experience. On the flipside, we work closely with each of our groups to make sure we are providing them with the most value.

Our Process
We're putting a twist on the traditional method of group matching that you may have seen used by similar services for other games. You won't find any group listings, player profiles, or monthly payments to push a group to the top of the list. We operate as a direct service; we'll hand match players to the groups that we think they'll fit in best with. Here's how it works:When a group signs up to be listed in our database, we'll send them a form where they'll provide us with their info. That way, we will know what types of players they are looking for, instructions for how those players can join, and most importantly, what makes their group unique.
