We need raccoons

Don't get me wrong, I love the North America Animal Pack. It's a great pack. But I can't help feeling disappointed that the raccoon was not included. I really wanted raccoons and that was the perfect occasion. Also, even though I'm sure I will learn to love the arctic fox, I think the raccoon would have fitted better with the theme of this pack. It's an emblematic animal of the United States, as much as the alligator or the cougar.

So here why we need raccoons in the game:

  • They are extremely cute and very smart. What else?
  • They are a small animal and we still need more small animals that can fill small spaces in our zoos.
  • They are a member of the Procyonidae family, which we have no representative in the game yet. Adding the raccoon to the game would add to the biological diversity displayed in the game, which is important.
  • And finally, like I've already said, they are an emblematic animal of the United States. First lady Grace Coolidge even kept a raccoon named Rebecca as a pet in the White House ! Talk about a nice fun fact to add to the Zoopedia.

To be honest, now that we got the NA Animal Pack, I'm not very optimistic anymore about the chances of the raccoon being included into the game. But, since Frontier seems to be listening to us, who knows? Maybe if a lot of people comment on this post to say that they, too, would really like the raccoon to be included, we could still get them?

Raccoon fans, make your voices heard !

You forgot something important: they are advanced creatures! They've been wearing masks and washing their hands constantly long before that we humans started doing it!

I really want raccoons and hope they get a second chance. I will keep including them in my wishlists!

I've been called a raccoon before😂.

I wanted a raccoon, as well. Adorable. I went to a zoo in Mexico that had some, and they stuck their hands outta the mesh to get food, so I just started petting it (then everybody around me freaked out that my hands were dirty, so I washed them; not like I wasn't going to anyways).

Yes, team raccoon. (Spanish, the name is cooler: Mapache. And don't forget RJ the raccoon from Over the Hedge)

I think chances are good. They could easily do an Urban Pack.
Ex. Racoons, Wild Boar/Red Fox, Indian Leopard, Sika Deer, and a (Cockroach/ Spider (Black widow, Sydney Funnel Web)/ snake, or even a catio)

Ok, how about this:

Urban Pack
(I'm using my hypothetical biome pack format for this)
  1. Red fox
  2. Raccoon
  3. Virginia opossum
  4. Skunk (any species)
  5. Coypu (nutria rat. They are pests here in the US, but they are in cities and they can be like an alternative to the beaver)
  6. Green anole (E)
Scenery - backstage props, like shovels and wheelbarrows and buckets. Maybe some new plants, but not sure what would fit....

My dear darthquell, you think to narrow minded. Dont you remember, that there are urban areas all around the world?

From India, i would pick the rhesus monkey, roaming their streets, stealing what ever they get their dirty little fingers on.

Common Marmosets are another type of monkey, that started to addapt an urban lifestyle. They like living at the border of the forest, so citys are quite alright for them, aslong as there are enough trees.

For Europe, a fun pick would be the wild boar, famous for being berlins buff citizens, but also roam other cities. This propaply also relates to the high amount of woods in citys in europe, which is why roe deer, boar and red deer all like to cross into settlements from time to time.

And thats just some examples of fun animals that terrorize our streets

True, true. But I was just using animals that I've seen (well, I haven't seen the fox, but still)
