I’m about a third way though the late ‘80s / early ‘90s anime “Legend of the Galactic Heroes” (after seeing it mentioned here as an Empire/Fed war parallel (cheers whoever suggested it!)) and when they do a boarding action it’s gurt big axes and axe-head attachments for rifles splashing a load of claret about - lasers aren’t too useful against shiny armour, apparently.

Im thinking about chickens as a currency, and for something small to purchase, like a bowl of chicken soup, we'd have to use chicken bits - perhaps if chickens are divided up into small nuggety sized pieces, it would round out the currency. I don't know what to call them though?
