Weather on planets?

There's a big thunderstorm brewing outside and it made me wonder if we're going to see weather on planets? Like huge lighting strikes, different shades of storm clouds, massive electrical storms, that kind of thing. Has anything been mentioned about that? The planets, although beautiful, feel like they could use a little life.

Were a little high to see things like that but I did catch a giant hurricane one an Earth like when exploring (sorry for the blur):

Maybe when planet landing comes, I think Braben mentioned fighting in clouds and stuff in one of the video interviews.

hard to say how the planets with atmospheres are going to change when planetary landings are added.

Something like this when viewed from the ISS. City lights and lightning strikes, possibly auroras if the parameters for the planet position/axis and star parameters fit?

I agree...but theres far more bugs to fix before worrying about weather on planets...even different starport designs should come before weather Im thinking?
Dont distract the devs with stuff until they fix the broke pieces first..please :)
