Weird noises after closing FSS

My first thought would be that you exited the FSS so quickly that it was still playing its initialization sound effect and it got stuck for a bit.

My second thought is to wonder if you're near a signal source, as that sound isn't too dissimilar to the "garbled signals" sound effects you get from e.g. Degraded Signal sources.

So I had these weird noises appear after exiting FSS, the pattern repeats itself 5 times and did this till I got away from the sun, since then I've been unable to pick up the signal again.

thought I'd share this to see if it was a bug or if someone can figure something out with the message. The system I'm in is Pipe (Stem) Sector HC-L BB-1
Have you tried turning the ship off and back on again?

I can confirm i also noticed this noise and i fly a Conda too. Not sure if it's still happening...

It's a known bug, sometimes a few sounds get stuck and repeating. Restarting the game should fix it.
(In fact, any strange thing can be checked whether there's something to it or if it's just a bug: does it persist after restarting the game?)

It persisted everytime I exited FSS, I scanned the system and it happened then, I have that part on recording as well, but only part of i; I moved away from the star and it went away, moved back to the star and was unable to replicate it again.

As far as I know there was no USS's in this system.

FDev should put these random bugged sounds in game to strike at random. Make people think they are going mad.
Or is that what they are doing

It could be that, someone on a discord is saying that's what it could be, but others haven't heard it the entire time they've played.

The conda has been having a ton of structural noises out here too, almost like the gravity in this area is stronger than others, I keep hearing the entire left side of my ship creak.

Oh now that's interesting. You might recall, ships have a semi-hidden stat called "Ship Integrity" - you can only see it in the Advanced Maintenance tab at a station, it isn't reduced by damage but instead gradually decreases with time spent in cruise, just like paint job wear. It seems to be meant to emulate structural wear and tear. I wonder if FDev have added some "creaking ship" sound effects that trigger on low integrity.

You know that could be it, the last time I had this thing out was a combat run.

I was going to post that the sound you're hearing was a little bit of your soul dying every time you use the FSS, but decided against it.

I didn't really like it at first, but I realized I'm not spending two hours going out to everyone planet to get a scan on them anymore.

I haven't had the sound since so I'm kinda thinking it's a one off or as someone has stated before a bug.

This event / thing has been brought up many times before. I believe it's a bug, at least that's what the majority seem to agree on. I hear it often, and I've several recordings of it. It happens all over the place, not just FSS related; I've gotten it after DSS as well, and most often (for me it seems) when returning to my DBX from the SRV. I actually used to think it was a distress call, because the end of the message (noise) sounded like "Help Me"... but my ears don't work so well anymore. 🤷‍♂️
