Well, guess I'm boned...

I went back out to my favorite system that I discovered in '17, and first mapped when Horizons came out, and first footfalled when Odyssey came out, and first bio discovery. With 96 bodies, 82 orbital slots and 126 planetary slots.
I was going to see if I could plan out a bridge, even though the nearest inhabited system is still 416 ly away. I'm not gonna do 26+ stations. But I thought it wouldn't hurt to plan ahead. So I got there and...
The nearest star in the correct direction is 19.4 ly away. 🙄
The nearest star in any direction is 19.1 ly away.

Hi :)

Well there's one consolation, nobody else will be building a station in it! :)
Though I would keep a periodic eye on it if the distances are ever changed in the future.;)

Jack :)

Good news! You can be assured that (as of current date) the system cannot be claimed by anyone. Oh.

Just checking you don't have the scoopable star filter on your galmap? Or any other filters?

You might have to wait until an eventual extension of the colonization distance from a star system is extended. No telling when or if this will happen.

20 LY is the maximum control distance a fortified system in PP can have so it's a safe bet this will be the next max colonization range - when it happens.

So don't lose hope and, as others have said, keep a regular close eye on the area surrounding your favoured system.

Realistic mode. It's pretty far galactic up.
Even starting at the other end with the closest inhabited system, there are a few spots where there aren't any others w/in 15 ly too.

Start the chain anyway in the hope it’ll change? It’ll keep you busy building up those systems in the meantime

There is a financial limit though, 5 mil a month from all systems?
It might be for rather than from but yes there is some sort of financial cap, which I am sure will get moaned about much more when the rest of the beta has settled down.

is it 5 mil before tax in total or 5 mil before tax in a single system? I am fairly sure some must be pulling in my than 5 mil by now to be affected by it if it's in total.

Depends who is willing to spend that much time colonising I guess. To get to a $5m income is quite a feat.
