Some of us take the credit loss as part of the fun/challenge of the game
When you don't have the funds to cover loss it can be a bitter pill to swallow, you have my sympathies op, however credits come pretty easy these days and you'll soon get that Python back along with the value of the experience.

Speedbowl event where pilots routinely throw themselves towards the ground at ridiculously high speeds and ship destruction is all part of the fun
Press Release: Speedbowl IV - New Grounds
With a weekend of ludicrous speed behind us, the Galactic Speedbowl Association wants to offer a short retrospective of Speedbowl IV - New Grounds, that took place on HR 6164 ABC 2.
Throughout the weekend, 40 pilots found their way onto the leaderboard, submitting over 70 runs, with many more attempting qualifying runs outside the official channels. They were supported by 19 fleet carriers, making the system one of the most valuable ones outside colonized space for a short timespan.
Rebuys for single pilots racked up to well over 80 million credits for some, with the most expensive single crash ever recorded in history being Itsumo Ottoke and his cargo hold of LTDs worth over 200 million credits.
