What are your favorite animals that you use in every zoo?

Well I only have 6 zoos in total ( 1 on the Tundra, 2 on the desert, 1 on the Temperate 1 on the taiga and 1 on the prairie hahah) , and two are so big, so, my most used animals are:

1.- Bactrian Camel
2.- European Fallow Deer

I am playing Planet zoo for 2 years now and still haven't finished one zoo 🤭. I am just never happy so I start a new one. And now I Cant play for weeks because I left my computer for repair. 😖 So I Will be on this forum a lot 🙈.

Since it was released I love the Przewalski’s horse and have had it in every zoo. Same for the alpine ibex.

My biggest interest is in Eurasian and Boreal wildlife so I am really pleased that we have more and more animals from that part of the world.

That’s become my main focus in zoo building and I can’t see that changing for now.

I don't have an animal that I've used in every single zoo, but I do have some that I use a lot. There's a few zoos that are regional specific with animals, but they have or I plan to have a small international section of a handful of animals that are not from that region. Those animals are typically smaller animals though.

Meerkat - is a staple of my zoos. There's one or two I don't have them in but they're extremely common. They'll almost always go in my international section for regional zoos
Giant Panda - my favorite animal of the game, so I use it in almost all of my zoos, including regional specific zoos for the international section.
Capybara - another animal i use in my international sections of my zoos, mostly anyways. There's a few zoos I haven't put in yet, but they show up a lot.
Asian Small Clawed Otter - same with the capybara, there's a few zoos I haven't put them in yet that I intend to.

I use the flamingo, zebra, and of course the lion. I’ll admit I wish the lion wasn’t so stylized but it’s still my favorite animal. Our local zoo went two years without a lion and a zoo without a lion doesn’t seem like a zoo at all.

I use these animals alot:
Greater Flamingo
Plains Zebra
Reticulated Giraffe
Capuchin Monkey
- since it is the only New World Monkey, I basically have this one in every single zoo.
Spectacled Caiman - I mostly put my crocodillians into an indoor building enclosure and these caimans are perfect for it.

When I play in Franchise I usually get these:
  • Flamingo's are a must for me. They're cheap, so you can buy a lot of them, and they reproduce like bunnies 🤭 It won't take to long to have a habitat full of em. 🦩
  • Red Crowned crane - Gorgeous animal. 😍
  • Nile Monitors - Also cheap, and they have 3 babies at a time so you don't have to wait to long to have a hab with a family of 5.🦎
  • Since giraffe's are my favorite animal I must have a few of them around. 🦒
  • Can't forget the otters - They're just plain adorable 🦦

Maybe not the most versatile animals, but I always find an excuse to jam Siberian Tiger and Formosan Bear in every single project I'm working on
ah yes, I remember getting the Siberian Tiger after I got a little more money in the bank.

Hmmm,…. Mostly the animals I’d consider staples in real zoos that I’ve been to (bearing in mind that thr ones I’m most familiar with are in Australia)

  • meerkat
  • ring tailed lemur
  • short claw otters
  • giraffe
  • zebra
And, following the grassland pack, I’ll most likely be using the red-necked wallaby and Emu in pretty much every zoo.

I only really build 3 zoos so far, one thats really big, one that i deletes by accident and my current one.
So far i got no animal thats present in all 3 zoos as im trying to build once for every animal in the game, but for 2/3 i got:

- Dhole: Propaply my favorite animal in the game for how versatile it is. One habitat is in an overlapping area, leading from the more tropical asian section to the arctic one in a taiga style habitat and one in my current one inspired by japanese gardens.

- Babirusa: They are just great, again in my first zoo in my asian tropical house and once again in my deleted zoo in a lowkey low theme habitat. Alongside the dhole and binturong propaply the best filler animal from asia

- Komododragon: As one if only two monitors in the game, they are allmost a nessesicity for reptile diversity in zoos. First habitat was kinda ty in my first zoo but they had a really nice fit in the tropical house of my deleted one

- Nyala: Imo the prettiest antelope in the game, simple as that

- Prariedogs: Only reason they wernt in my first zoo is that i havent touched that one since the africa pack. Hands down the best filler animal in thd game

- Reindeer: Propaply the first animal to be in all of my zoos, i just like them. Being the only cervid for along time also helped but they are just really pretty

- Giant Anteater: They are neat, perfect middleground between a filler and a highlight animal and good as both. Very versatile and usefull

- Pangolin: One of the few smol animals from asia before the start of this year, very usefull for that reason alone. Also can both be filler or highlight like the anteater

And those are all multi use animals i think, but im sure that atleast the racoon, emu and wallaby will show up alot in future zoos

Wolves. They're just one of my favorite animals overall. Giraffes, because they are great centerpieces for savannah exhibits, lemurs because they are just so much fun and are popular staples at even smaller real-life zoos, lions because they are popular parts of most zoos and a big draw for guests (though I wish the game lion were less cartoon-ey). Also, wrt lions, they are very fertile and pump out cubs fast enough to start racking up conservation credits for release, even for the ones you can't sell.
