What are your fun, unusual, or underappreciated weapon loadouts?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: noooooo.

Worse than small fixed pulse lasers for combat, worse than small mining lasers for mining except for range, but for mining you don't really want range anyway.
Seems to be the story of most of the powerplay weapons, they were surpassed by engineered weapons and never rebalanced.

One build I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere that I came up with is
Infinite Beam Conda:

Uses efficient turreted lasers since they generate less heat and can fire forever with 4 PIPs to sys

Most other weird things I actually use like shock cannons and ax plasma for PvE have already been mentioned.

Maybe builds that use thermal shock to make NPCs not boost.

I also use the phasing fixed multicannons from a CG whenever I do bounty hunting by killing mission stalkers (which is 99% of my BGS) but that's not a build everyone can just replicate.

Another weird build used for that a bunch but that ultimately didn't work out was a ramming, frag beluga.

My keelback sports frag turrets on the top mediums (overcharged with screening I think) and rapid fire gimballed pulse on the smalls. Quite effective combined with the SLF. Can take on the assassination missions with corvette as the target.
