What can you do in 1-2 minutes of game play

So I have the unable to reach transaction server error and only can play for a few minutes.

I have launched from a dock, then landed not before disconnect - Cleared out messages most come back after. I was able to fuel scope. Look at galaxy map and plot a course. I supercruised around for a bit but not able to reach anything. Turned modules on/off, was kinda fun i guess. I was able to scan a system. I looked at the outside of my ship seen my engine thrust some.

What other kool things can i do for a min or 2? as this is all i can do for many days as i wait on my ticket.

In a minute or two ? You can buy Imperial Slaves, buy around 300, and drop them at STATION Iben Hub SYSTEM Iota Hydri. Leave them outside the station, I'll come pick them up every day at 2pm.

Srsly tho, not much in two minutes.

Change skins, decals, or, perhaps, plot a route. Could dock easily enough if you are not in a station...

One doesn't just play ED for a minute or two...

Z...

Self Destruct? :p

A clear false story to cover up the fact he is logging in and out to refresh the game and mission boards. A clear exploit if I ever heard one! FD please nerf this is ruining my gameplay of pushing faction names around the BGS.

Not many games are really practical to play in two minute chunks. Least of all a relatively time-consuming game like ED.

I'd personally just play/do something else for a few days until ED was sorted.

Block a landing pad, stay there for 30 seconds, get shot by the station guns - should be a minute (i think). Spend the next one minute staring at your rebuy screen :)

i'm assuming your post was tongue in cheek, but still: that clear exploit is all that keeps me playing. it's not like the mission board is a well filled hive of wonderful things to do, the only thing great about it (lately) is how excellent it is at being utterly mediocre.

5 missions, all of them illegal, worth little or unsuitable for my ship.
try next faction.
3 missions, all of them illegal, worth little or unsuitable for my ship.
try next faction...
(log and repeat ad nauseum)

we had a few brief days of brilliance, i assume the current board state is due to whiner X complaining about player Y making too much cash in system Z?

there is no middle ground for me. if there's only rubbish missions on offer, i don't grudgingly accept those and go sadly off on my journey to deliver budgie poo for 150k. i either log and change modes, or quit to the menu and try again in an hour, or go play something else. the budgie poo stays right where it is.

for 2 minutes? amuse yourself by inventing clever names for your ship in the Livery screen. it works for me.

If you're using wireless internet, don't. If you can't get an ethernet cable to your router, use powerline adapters. I have TP-Link ones, they were literally plug-and-play, no software or finagling required beyond a single button push on each adapter.

Mind you though, the connection can get spotty if something like AC turns on - but there's a workaround: make a .bat file (open a notepad file, put in the text, save as a .bat) with this:

ping -t -l 1 <your router's local IP address, example: 192.168.1.1>

What this does is ping your router constantly, removing the time cap that normally comes with using the 'ping' command, and also downsizes the packet size to a single byte - so you're literally just maintaining connection to your router over your powerline by pinging it every second with a single byte, which I presume prevents the signal from being lost in the 'noise' of other things in your home turning on/off.

If you're having to board-flip or are only getting missions you don't like, you're in the wrong system or at least at the wrong station/working for the wrong factions.

Big hint: don't follow the Reddit bandwagon. Sites like Ceos/Sothis aren't half as good as your every-day, "normal" hub systems smack dab in the middle of the bubble: all you need are lots of factions serving the superpower you want to work for, a few stations that aren't more than a couple thousand LS away from the jump point, and if you're lucky a focused destination system for the missions you can collect there.

Solwise here, and ditto.

One caveat though: their performance seems to drop when there's lots of Christmas lights switched on in the house. I think the transformers they use are rather 'noisy'. Mind you, my powerline adaptors are a few years old now so maybe newer ones don't suffer from this.

Well, give the ping .bat thing a try then.

Ya im hardwired in, did the port forward thing changed nothing. Just really disappoint how slow it is to fix. I can play the arena just fine and logged into my friends account no issues. Something with my account.

I did notice when looking at the galaxy map the 3rd box with you select a system is sitting there spinning like its trying to load.
