What are you spending on to get to 8M? Beam Turrets?

Even with A7 shield, max power plant, thrusters, FSD I only pushed above a bit above 5M on my Clipper.

Attacking an armed Conda in something as big and light-shielded as a Clipper was a risky move, no question about that.

It is understandable that you were suprised by the amount of alpha damage that Conda did to you, but please, don't insult this community that is probably among the best online gaming communities around.

4 cannon anaconda = 1 class 4 cannon and 3 class 3 cannons. Don't get caught without shields against anything carrying that many huge+large cannons. Huge cannons tear through hull like it's tissue paper.

Sometimes collisions take a moment to register, and the sound doesn't play until it registers. If it was the collision that dropped you to 0%, then there is a good possibility that the explosion/death sounds overrode the collision sound, which simply didn't get played because the death audio seems to override all other audio.

I've actually had this happen a few times.

Ya...It has already been said but the big issues are

Not fitted properly
Poor power distribution (2sys,4eng,0weap?) Most PvP go 4,0,2
Only 1 ring of shield

You basically took a knife to a gun fight...a very big gun fight.

Good luck though man...lessons learned so you don't make the same future mistakes.
