Newcomer / Intro What did I do wrong to offend Adles Armada

Hi,

I have been playing ED for a few months now, mostly just minding my own business in Open mode. I have met a few players when I have been out and about and chatted a few times, which was nice, which is why I like to play in Open mode. I have never attacked another CMDR, only fired in defense.

I base myself in Eravate at Cleve's Hub. I take primarily Federation missions. I have worked my way up to a Python with the goal of saving up for a Anaconda. I have done some combat, played at extraction resource sites, sat around nav beacons to gain some bounties, taken a few take out that pirate mission, but usually do cargo missions.

I had just got my new Python and was running some cargo missions out of Eravate to a nearby system. A human player comes around, tells me he is executing a warrant for Adles Armada and kills me (incidentally, like in two shots). I had no bounties that I was aware of, nothing listed in my Transactions page.

I am wondering what I did wrong to offend Adles Armada. I take mostly Federation missions but also take some other missions listed at Cleve's Hub just to make sure I stay neutral with the other powers.

Is it one of the missions I took that kind of ticket'd Adles Armada off?

I had recently pledged to Zachary Hudson. That was actually kind of accidental when I was just exploring around the options in the game. Did that have something to do with my murder? Took me a few days to figure out how to unpledge myself.

Anyway, just trying to figure out the intricacy's of the game so I don't get myself in hot water again ... well in the short term anyway ... until I know a little more about the game and am ready to commit to a faction. I was planning on Federation / Adles Armada, but now I am thinking maybe since I have been killed by them, maybe come back and haunt the buggers :/

If it's a player then it's probably something you've done with other players.

I'd recommend getting in touch with S!lk (Founder of AA)

Things that usually get you on their radar:
Ungracefully exiting combat (combat logging by using task-kill or out of game methods)
Killing novice/new players in the starter systems
Being Wanted in the starter systems
Having a FSD interdictor module fitted in the starter systems

It's also possible somebody reported you to them. It's also possible that it was not Adles Armada and it was a false flag operation, there's a well known player whos name is in two parts the first starting with a Z and the 2nd starting with a N. He spends all his time killing new players in starter systems and Adles Armada spend a lot of time killing him, he may be trying to make people rebel against AA.

Anyway, best off to get in touch with S!lk, he can confirm if you are on a "kill list" and if so why. If you have the name of your attacker you can also verify if they are indeed in AA or false flagging.

You should have the name of the commander that killed you. Go to the comms panel. Tab over to the icon that looks like a clock. The name of the commander should be listed there.

And that's the reason I will not play in open. Ever. It's ridiculous and sick to enforce someone what to equip and how to enjoy his/hers game with NPCs just because you have bigger guns.
Frankly the biggest proof of existence of superior extraterrestrial life is that noone wants to get in touch with us...sad..sad..

AA police 1 system, the starter system for new players. Usually they'll talk/demand before attacking. This kill on site nature isn't their standard MO which makes me suspect False Flag.
Anyway one thing I will say is it's better than just killing you for no good reason at all

But yeah, you can play in solo/PG if you wish. All your choice. Not sure how superior extraterrestrial life comes into this thread at all though, seems odd to bring that up.

I am also inclined to believe that this commander either went rogue or weren't an actual member of AA in the first place.

PM Commander S!lk with the name of your killer or check against their roster

You can also PM me the name. If it's one of the notorious griefers that operate in the area, I'll know them.

First, let me say, I am not complaining about the guy who killed me, I know it is part of the game. His name is NIGHTSHADY.

If you run into him, he has some pretty powerful weapons. Took me out in a couple of shots and I had a Python with 6B Multiweave shields and two shield boosters. Be careful engaging him.

I never ungracefully exited out of battle. I did have a FSD interdictor but wasn't using it.

As suggested I will contact S!lk and see if I did anything and if so, what I can do to rectify the issue.

Hey CMDR, the player that killed you was NOT a member of Adle's Armada, he was a member of a 2nd rate PvP group called 13th Legion. This group isn't very good at what they do so they resort to pathetic tactics like this. Adle's Armada will never kill a player that doesn't deserve it and if you weren't wanted or had no history of attacking players in our systems then you should have nothing to fear. If you'd like, feel free to come onto our discord server (find us on inara towards the top) and hangout, we can help you get your rebuy back and perhaps give you some protection. I don't think we're supposed to announce which 13 legion it was because that would be naming and shaming. Assume they're all douches and leave it at that.
