What did you do in Jurassic World Evolution 2 Today?

With the Feathered Species Dinosaur Pack DLC added, I re-did making an all-herbivores Jurassic-World-type park. This time, I did it the temperate square map and I was able to make a much more authentic version.

Upon entry, there are two viewing gallery exhibits as I kept the Lystrosaurus and the Oviraptor in separate enclosures.

The only marine reptile available in the all-herbivores park is Ichthyosaurus.

If anybody remember that in the livestream that promote the launch of the Feathered Species Dinosaur Pack DLC, the designers said that they made the Jeholopterus look cute. Therefore, I made it the only pterosaur species exhibited. People will like it seeing it from the Dome Viewing Gallery.

Every herbivore exhibit can be viewed preliminarily from the Viewing Platforms.

The Jurassic Tour is for the herbivore species that would not harm vehicles and I kept them separated according to the place of fossil discovery:

  • Muttaburrasaurus in Mackunda Formation
  • Minmi in Blythesdale Formation
  • Amargasaurus in La Amarga Formation
  • Ouranosaurus and Nigersaurus in Elrhaz Formation
  • Sauropelta in Cloverly Formation
  • Archaeornithomimus in Bissekty Formation
  • Olorotitan in Udurchukan Formation
  • Tsintaosaurus in Jingangkou Formation
  • Nodosaurus in Frontier Formation

The Gyrosphere enabled people to get close combat-capable herbivores kept according to their respective places of fossil discovery:

  • Dashanpu Formation - Chungkingosaurus, Huayangosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus
  • Tendaguru Formation - Kentrosaurus
  • Tugulu Group - Wuerhosaurus
  • Isle of Wight - Polacanthus, Iguanodon
  • Sunjiawan Formation - Crichtonsaurus
  • Xingezhuang Formation - Sinoceratops
  • Kaiparowits Formation - Nasutoceratops, Parasaurolophus
  • Kirtland Formation - Pentaceratops, Parasaurolophus, Alamosaurus
  • Horseshoe Canyon Formation - Edmontosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus
  • Oldman Formation - Chasmosaurus, Corythosaurus, Maisaura, Parasaurolophus
  • Dinosaur Park Formation - Chasmosaurus, Corythosaurus, Euoplocephalus, Parasaurolophus, Struthiomimus
  • Hell Creek Formation - Struthiomimus, Edmontosaurus, Dracorex, Stygimoloch, Pachycephalosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Torosaurus, Triceratops

The authentic Nemegt Formation has Gallimimus, Homalocephale, Deinocheirus, and Therizinosaurus. We have to respect Frontier's wishes in depicting the Therizinosaurus as the most hateful of all the herbivore species. Therefore, the Therizinosaurus can only be used in an all-herbivores park (exclusive in Sandbox gameplay) and the BioSyn Sanctuary (campaign and sandbox). Regarding Deinocheirus, anybody here want the Deinocheirus to like Gallimimus and Homalocephale?

I have the notion that it would be fun for people to take zipline in the large tall sauropod exhibits. Unfortunately, I was unable to put the zipline on the Kirtland Formation exhibit.

The Dreadnoughtus can be viewed from the Viewing Platform, Jurassic Tour, and Zipline.

The Morrison Formation exhibit has Dryosaurus, Stegosaurus, Camarasaurus, Diplodocus, Apatosaurus, and Brachiosaurus. Besides the Viewing Platform, the two fun ways are the Gyrosphere and the Zipline.

I now came to the conclusion that a single square map is not large enough for the ultimate Jurassic World park. Therefore, I can make different Jurassic-World-type parks that have the selected species in different square maps of different biomes.

Given the fact that Gigantspinosaurus can cohabit with Huayangosaurus and Chungkingosaurus, anybody here want to have these two stegosaurs like each other?

I would appreciate if the following cohabitation relationships to be amended generally especially for the Germany challenge in Jurassic difficulty:

  • Camarasaurus can cohabit with Apatosaurus
  • Torosaurus can cohabit with Triceratops

Just wanted to show my attempt at a Jurassic World Raptor pen.

I've used the largest cage as a faux walkway around the paddock (this I have sandwiched between the concrete fencing). I've kept the hexagonal shape and attached the entrance cage, inclusive of the 4 individual raptor holding bays. On the left side I've added a "release" trap in reminiscence of the start of the Indominus hunt. In my mind the steps that would lead staff up to the faux walk way are hidden behind some extruding concrete fence Ive added near the entrance cage and by the watch tower. I felt I had to include a hyperloop viewing platform as well - just for visibility. The paddock has 3 live feeders (shame they're not pigs) and the Ranger and Medical teams can access and refill. The raptor comfort stats are bang on the line to 0.1 of a percent. I used a still from the movie to help my inspiration and I tried to include some of the foreground detail and use of additional buildings to give it a sense of activity.

...

Aaaand I've written this and can't attach the photos because they are too large! Anywhere I can post these and a video? I don't use Youtube.

Maybe this works...

Went back to my JP Germany and added Deinocheirus alongside Apatosaurus but I am still waiting for a new pack to finish two enclosures as well, something that has Microceratus. Then I went back towards my JW CC to continue the work I am doing and boy was my inspiration on fire.

I made a Jurassic-World-type park in the desert square map in which I was not aware that it was the square version of the place where Jurassic Park San Diego was to be built.

Note: when making a Jurassic-World-type park, it is under the sandbox setting of "No Dislike" cohabitation setting.

I may not get this right, but I chose to exhibit the species that are thought to be living in the desert region, edges of fresh water, and coast.

When upon entering the park, there are three different attractions. The first viewing gallery attraction is for people to see the smallest carnivores: Compsognathus, Sinosauropteryx, and Moros Intrepidus. The second viewing gallery is for people to see Oviraptor.

I have Jelopterus as a starting pterosaur for people to see in a Jurassic-World-type park and it is best to have it viewed from the Dome Viewing Gallery.

The Viewing Platform is always combined with other attractions.

The Jurassic Tour is for people to see Minmi, Sauropelta, Ouranosaurus, Nigersaurus, and Archaeornithomimus. I only put Ouranosaurus and Nigersaurus together is due to the fact that they share the same dig site whereas the other herbivores are kept in separate enclosures.

The first Gyrosphere attraction covers Dimetrodon, Megalosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Isle of Wight (Polacanthus and Iguanodon specifically), Deinonychus, Nemegt Formation (Gallimimus, Homalocephale, and Deinocheirus but no Therizinosaurus), and Velociraptor.

I put two different pairs of carnivores in one section. They are viewable from both the Viewing Platform and Dome Viewing Gallery. First are the abelisaurs: Majungasaurus and Carnotaurus. Second are the carcharodontosaurs: Acrocanthosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus. Due to the abelisaurs liking each other, there is no bloodshed between those two species. Why not do the same for the carcharodontosaurs? Currently, the fights between Acrocanthosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus caused the Carcharodontosaurus to receive medical treatment for injuries.

The Jurassic Coast section have an aviary that holds Dimorphodon (that can be viewed from the Aviary Viewing Gallery and Log Viewing Gallery) along with a lagoon that has Plesiosaurus, Attenborosaurus, and Ichthyosaurus.

One section have the Early Cretaceous piscivores in different sections:

- The Suchomimus and Baryonyx can be viewed from the Viewing Gallery and Log Viewing Gallery.

20230628225430_1.jpg

- The iconic Spinosaurus can be viewed from Viewing Gallery and Dome Viewing Gallery

20230628220152_1.jpg

- There are three aviaries each covered by the Aviary Viewing Gallery, the Log Viewing Gallery, and Gyrosphere. I kept the Dsungaripterus and Tapejara separately. In the third aviary, I put the Maaradactylus and Tropeognathus together.

It is informal to call the next section "Late Cretaceous Coast" as there are three aviaries and a lagoon attraction. I kept the Barbaridactylus, Pteranodon, and Quetzalcoatlus in separate aviaries. In the lagoon, there is only Elasmosaurus.

The last section have the largest of all large carnivores in the world and carnivorous marine reptiles. Giganotosaurus can be viewed from the Viewing Platform and Dome Viewing Gallery. I kept the Liopleurodon and Mosasaurus in separate lagoons.

As Always, I start a new park with a Main St and build out from there. Here's my latest WIP. I decided to not limit myself to a particular era. Admittedly, I took some design cues from the movie - and some lighting ideas from youtubers.

Trying to build a beach lol

I made a Jurassic-World-type park in the Taiga square map (the one in which its environment is nearly similar to the place of the Canada challenge mode).

The beginner's section is for people to see the Lystrosaurus, Oviraptor, and the world's smallest carnivores in three different Viewing Gallery exhibits. In addition, the first pterosaur is the Jelopterus.

By taking the Jurassic Tour; people can see Coelophysis, Monolophosaurus, Archaeornithomimus, Olorotitan, Tsintaosaurus, Sauropelta, and Nodosaurus in separate exhibits. I placed the Acrocanthosaurus enclosure across the road from the Sauropelta exhibit.

I made a very long Gyrosphere and there are several stations. Between the first and second stations are Dimetrodon, Dilophosaurus, Cryolophosaurus, and Megalosaurus. Between the second and third stations are the Dashanpu Formation (except Mamenchisaurus), Kentrosaurus, Wuerhosaurus, Wessex Formation, Nemegt Formation (except Therizinosaurus), and Deinonychus. Between the third and fourth stations are Yutyrannus, Late Cretaceous medium-sized tyrannosaurs, Velociraptor, Pyroraptor, and Atrociraptor. Between the fourth and the starting point are Horseshoe Canyon Formation, Crichtonsaurus, Sinoceratops, Kaiparowits Formation, Oldman Formation, and Dinosaur Park Formation (except Styracosaurus).

The bad news is that the Albertosaurus and Qianzhousaurus fought. I was able to stop a Qianzhousaurus from being killed, however I failed to stop an Albertosaurus from being killed. The only remedy for it is to have these two species of medium-sized tyrannosaurs to like each other to prevent fights in the future from happening. The same concept is in the abelisaurs (Majungasaurus and Carnotaurus) as well as the Morrison Formation theropods.

20230712194838_1.jpg

I kept the Morrison Formation theropods away from the herbivores. The Dome Viewing Gallery is the safer way for people to get a closer view of the theropods whereas the herbivores can be viewed from the Gyrosphere. Since the Morrison Formation have sauropods, I added the Zipline for people to have fun. What do you say about making the Morrison Formation sauropods liking each other? Have the cohabitation preferences of the other sauropods remain constant in order for the exhibits to be authentic.

20230712174623_1.jpg

I managed to put the Zipline in the Kirtland Formation exhibit. Under the current cohabitation setting, the ceratopsians are neutral to sauropods even though the sauropods like ceratopsians. What do you say to Pentaceratops liking Alamosaurus? However, Pentaceratops have to dislike Pachyrhinosaurus, Styracosaurus, and Triceratops.

20230712174703_1.jpg

I hate to say that I split the Hell Creek Formation into three instead of two. Only way for people to have a closer view of Tyrannosaurus Rex is the Log Viewing Gallery. I put Ankylosaurus with the three pachycephalosaurs so that their cohabitation coefficient will not be overloaded. It would be better if pachycephalosaurs like ornithomimids, hadrosaurs, and ceratopsians as they are all herbivores exclusive in Late Cretaceous. However, stegosaurs have to dislike pachycephalosaurs like the way stegosaurs dislike ankylosaurs and ceratopsians.

20230712174830_1.jpg

I put Struthiomimus, Edmontosaurus, Torosaurus, and Triceratops together. I would appreciate if Torosaurus can cohabit with Triceratops. Under the current cohabitation setting, Torosaurus and Triceratops disliking each other based on the fact that they share the same food preference is all rubbish, trash, and maggots.

20230712174758_1.jpg

I made a section for people to see Baryonyx and Dsungaripterus. I had a Dome Viewing Gallery for the Baryonyx and a Log Viewing Gallery for Dsungaripterus.

I would not miss the Jurassic Coast section.

The "Late Cretaceous Coast" consisted of Pteranodon and Quetzalcoatlus in separate aviaries along with a lagoon for people to see the Mosasaurus.

Made a start on my newest PS5 park. Using the Alpine square map. Trying to incorporate more with elevation and terrain painting in my parks.
