What Do You Put On Top Of Your Corvette?

Started with 2x MCs, now I run 2x efficient beams and put a focused APA on the large.

Just to try something different I put on 2x bursts, I could kill stuff sure, but they were sold as soon as my CZ session was over. I was contemplating doing a G5 mod on them before trying them, glad I didn't waste the mats.

Oh, I forgot I do have 2x long-range fixed beams as well. I don't use them generally because they're basically too effective in PvE. You a pop a lot of ships before they even get close, and the rest are generally half-dead by the time they're in realistic firing range for themselves.

Could always do Cannons in all spots. Some High Yield, some Force Shell, just have a ton of fun wrecking modules and knocking your opponent off course.

I'm using efficient beams with thermal vent, but I want to switch to fixed cannons soon.

Are C1 rails worth it a large ship, or the C2 have good enough convergence? I've been using the C1 mount to proc various special effects, like corrosive or scramble frequency.

Must admit, I'm struggling to figure out what to do with my Corvette at all.

It's definitely a combat ship and not any kind of multi-purpose ship so I don't muck about, trying to fit cargo bays or any other junk into it.
So, the internals are currently just stacked up with SCBs, HRPs and MRPs (oh, and a fighter bay).

Which, in turn, causes me issues with the weapons.
The problem being, it can stick around CZs for long periods and it runs out of projectile ammunition long before I need to RTB.
Being a bit of a miser, I don't like "squandering" mat's on ammo' reloads so I feel compelled to use as many energy weapons as possible.
Which means I have to worry about power distribution more than I should.

I'd be eternally grateful if FDev saw fit to create an "ammunition magazine" module - ideally in a #6 or #7 size, please.

I've not had trouble with survivability, even with 2 SRVs and 64 units of cargo space. Im using Biweaves and resistance modded shield boosters with two shield cell banks. Still, we'd both run out of ammo at the same time! I too would love to have an ammo storage module, possibly to put into the military slots?

Anyway, thanks for the ideas folks, I may try out cannons once I have palin unlocked. I have the fragments but not Gwent's lamentable Sirius rep. Sirius is such a ghetto organization.

I find the C2's to be too far apart for rail use. I currently have two C1 rails and a third C1 in the large hardpoint.

I'm forever trying to find a fit that works for my Corvette, and to me, the main C4 guns are key to this as they are the Corvette's main feature.

I've mucked about with efficient beam lasers, but they seemed underwhelming. I'm presently using burst lasers, but the forced triple shot with the huge inbetween delay is just miserable. I might try cannons next, but I have to unlock Sarge first and many of the upgrades add jitter, which is basically GG as far as tradeoffs are concerned. I've seen multicannons as a popular fit, but they are rather boring.

So cmdrs, what do you have equipped mere inches above your bridge canopy?

A dead pirate.
