What do you think could make Exploration more interesting/entertaining or improve it?

I would love a "campsite module". A module dropped by your ship with a small habitat and garage for the SRV. I could leave it behind and go out exploring the nieghbourhood, returning to drop off materials and interesting "things" I had gathered. I wouldn't mind if it was destroyable by other players or NPC's and raidable too. It would show up in my Galmap as an icon and on other players Galmaps when within 1000LY and show up as a POI on a planet they had scanned with the DSS. I'd get a proximity warning when players were within 500LY of my camp giving me time to get back, pack up and get out of dodge, but only just enough time.

That is what I would like.

Despite FD saying "No" to wormholes, I think they'd actually be pretty fun providing you don't know where you'll end up. So not fast travel.

I'd break them up in to categories, 1-5, which gives you an indication of the distance, becoming more rare the higher category.
  • Category 1: 1ly to 100ly
  • Category 2: 50ly to 1,000ly
  • Category 3: 500ly to 5,000ly
  • Category 4: 2,500ly to 10,000ly
  • Category 5: 5,000ly to Infinity.

They'd also be 1-way.
You'd get paid well for scanning the entry point, but paid really well for scanning the exit point, and you'd get paid more per category.
They'd spawn as "Anomaly Detected" USSs, at Lagrange Points in systems, you'd also exit in normal space, at a Lagrange Point.
(Lagrange Points would show up like shipping lanes in the HUD)

Jumping them would require a bit of skill, but basically you just fly in to them, and it'd be like an interdiction vector to follow to avoid damage. High categories would be more violent, but a category 1 would be pretty tame.

They'd be instance based, so wings can follow, but if the instance is gone, so is the wormhole.
