Ship Builds & Load Outs Imperial Clipper What do you use your Imp Clipper for?

I love doing core mining in my Clipper. Decent cargo storage, and it is fast! I could min/max in a Krait or a Python but that would be boring.

I use mine for pirate hunt missions and if i want some real combat fun, i then use my FDL.
I wouldnt use it for mining, my anaconda is better for that and exploring i use Phantom.
I wish it was a M ship, there are so many missions i cannot take because it is to big and i hate that i cant use my beautiful ship for all of them.

Mine boosts to 570 and jumps just over 35 LY with 64 tons of cargo on board and all the bells and whistles. Good for running missions that not require landing at the outposts (which in my case 95% of the time), zooming around some planets and having a good time. Recently moved into the Cutter but Clipper is one of my all time favorites. Sold it few years ago and later bought it again to keep.
Here it is:

o7 cmdrs returning again after a break and looking for an updated smuggler build to work towards or outfit to with my clipper. I know it may not be the best for it, but i'm a sucker for a sexy looking ship. Most of what i have found is mining or exploration nothing about smuggling and little regarding trading. Fly safe

Intended secondary use was PVP blockade running, but I've only done that once. It performed well, though. First player interdiction I managed to evade without slamming into a planet. I also outmaneuvered another guy who tried to get behind me in supercruise.
I was toying with the idea myself to make one into a pvp blockade runner. Figure it would be decent in the role.

After flying mainly the Cutter the last weeks for trade and combat and being busy building my experimental stealth FdL, which is btw awesome now, just need to gg with PAs and heat management 🔥, I gave my Clipper some love. I replaced some modules which were swapped to other ships and finally had enough mats to G5 the frags. Taking it out for a spin I fell in love with it all over again, it's just such a pleasure to fly, and the looks. No wonder it was my first ship to sent to Colonia a few months back. Clipper is life.

Haven't flown mine for a while, I use it as a material collector. I've used it previously for laser mining. She's great in both roles, with enough speed to get out of trouble if the need arises.

I bypassed the Clipper with my main account, but I now have two "glamorous assistants" (alt accounts), one based in the Bubble and one in Colonia, and decided to equip each one with a Clipper and a Courier.

Each has a prismatic shield in the size 4 slot, so I keep the two biggest slots free for whatever I'm doing. Default configuration for mission-running is a size 7 cargo rack and a size 6 Business class passenger cabin. When I relocated one account to Colonia, I used a 7B fuel scoop and a size 6 fuel tank. That was handy for the neutron highway, because I could make a lot of neutron jumps on 80t of fuel and then refill very quickly.

I also have a spare size 6 cargo rack and another passenger cabin, and for combat I have a size 7 bi-weave shield and a couple of Guardian shield reinforcements.

So it's a handy multirole if you're prepared to keep swapping modules.
