Honestly, one thing I thought of doing was using Great Cakes’ sign mod to fake flying birds in an aviary. Like putting some storks or spoonbills high in a tree to simulate flying birds. Or leaving some macaws in the air to do the same.

Though what I have been mostly doing, is trying to make a small South America section in diorama mode. It’s only turning out ok. Currently I have American Flamingos, and I intend to also use peccaries and the saki. This section is supposed to be for a small zoo which is why I’m only using three species (also it saves my PC some trouble)
But if youre using mods anyways, why dont you just go for the animal mods directly?
I’ll be honest I tried downloading a bunch of birds and then they were no where to be seen. I don’t have the time and patience to redownload and trouble shoot, but I did get the sign mod downloaded so there we go.
Either you play in franchise or you are missing dlc, not too hard to troubleshoot if you managed to successfully install the sign mod.
Do you have ACSE installed? Most mods require that.
I do, maybe I just put them in the wrong spot? I’ll be honest, I just don’t have the time to sit down and work it out so it’s not the worst thing that can happen to me. I’ve actually been visiting real zoos more than playing planet zoo lately, and with Vet school I have been busy.

I had an issue with the bird mods not showing up in-game as well a while back, I think I just had to uninstall and reinstall them to get it working?? My memory on that ordeal is foggy but I don't think it took me very long at all to figure it all out.
(They did cause me crashes later on though, I don't think they had been updated so that was on me for ignoring that
)
