Newcomer / Intro What does a newly purchase Adder come with?

Hi,

I have just enough cash to buy an Adder now, and presume it comes with the basic modules already fitted. Not found it in a shipyard yet so unsure what to expect...

Does it come with weapons or anything else? If not I will save up a little more first so I have the basics in defence.

Cheers,

Remember "enough cash" should be ship price + 10% (cost of smashing one into the wall the first time out) + working capital. No good buying an Adder if you can't afford to refuel it at the next station.

That said, in the shipyard menu it should list the options that particular vessel has equipped and you can usually be assured they are the cheapest options, I mean since when have used spaceship lots put the real flash gear out on the lot?? Better off selling it as spares out back right?

*edit* Oops, ,missed the "haven't seen one yet". They're some for sale at my next station over so I'll go there and post it up for you.

*edit two* What Anthony said.

It does come with two basic weapons. 6 or 8 tons of cargo. Basic Discovery Scanner, all Class E power supply and other bits and pieces. There is a spare slot. Empty top size 3 hard point and two other free points.

Thanks RooBoy for the tips and Anthony for the information, good to see it comes with some basics.

I am going to probably take the risky option and just have enough cash to do some trades, want to jump right in. Will fly it with caution for the first half hour.....

I was happy to upgrade to an Adder yesterday from my previous Hauler. (The Hauler is a fine starter trader but the Adder is superior in most areas and anyway the Hauler has a scream of an orc coming out of supercruise :))
Actually if you play around with the compartments you can easily end up with 14 tonnes of cargo space which is a great improvement to the starter 6 and can do a fair amount of trade (or at least for me).
Also be prepared to have a "right hand drive" ship ;)
Good luck!

Hauler can take 20 tonnes of cargo. If you're trading, Adder seems like a downgrade to me.

I can think of a configuration for the adder that has 20t space. However, the Hauler only has one small hardpoint, the Adder has three (two small and one medium.)

It's an all rounder as opposed to a dedicated pusher of cargo.
