What does everyone else think of the 1.12 update soo far? And what needs to be improved?

I like it soo far:) The things I like is the toilets for guests, red wood trees, and vehicle destruction But this needs to be improved like have rangers get eaten and a option to make dinosaurs more aggressive :D

What do you like about 1.12 update and what needs to be improved?

I finished the campaign yesterday and i love this DLC, totally forgot about the redwood trees! Gonna check those out tonight. I almost cried of joy when i drove through the JP gates in my ford Explorer. The Rex and Raptor skins look really great too.

I would however like a bridge for the paths/tour vehicles so those can cross one another. Had the same problem in the main game.

And the warning signs on the fences would be cool too

The Rangers getting eaten seems a good idea! Would be cool to see!

  • Most importantly: give players the option to mix the JWE and RTJP buildings, fences etc. Once the campaign is done. I understand they keep it separate for the story, but please allow people to combine everything when that is finished.
  • Add the volts warning sign to every other part of fencing (at least on the classic JP fence).
  • Turn the decorative toilet into an actual alternate usable toilet skin. I mean, why not?
  • Make all of the new decorative paddock signs the same size.
  • Allow more zooming in when placing the dock signs so you can tell which way they're pointing.
  • Make herbivores actually graze from trees and shrubs.

the vehicles destruction is actually okay i mean i thought that i would have to manually go in all the time but the dinos are not that aggressive i can still rely on the ai to refill feeders and all that.i sent it to refill a feeder in a paddock with 2 acros and 5 proceratosoarus and it came out with out scratch.

ikr what is going on? it must be broken or something? i did this test again and nothing happens. They might hit me but thats only when im in the way:( look at my thread of me testing out the trex.

and make all said above available for ALL modes. you hear this frontier? ALL modes! not just restricted to 2 wimpy little modes that we (the audience) will get bored of quickly please!
look at my thread of me testing out the trex:( he did not even attack me not once:( the only time i got hit by him was because i was in the way:( i darted him like 5 times nothing happens then i darted him agian this time with 8 or more darts still nothing:(

I'm not gonna be complaining if my carnivores decide to give me mercy and not damage my vehicles.

With that aside, merged eras and remote hatching for Sandbox are my two biggest wants.

Some of the stuff in the JP DLC won't work in the main campaign. The main campaign is JW so the JP stuff wouldn't fit well. The JP game assets are mostly there for people to play around with in sandbox mode.

Having access to all buildings etc. Regardless of the era woupd be good start.
Other than that i think they should have added some hunting mechanic.Herbivores have the dlc feeders but carnivores get nothing?!

Love the dlc. Most have pointed out the needed improvements.

Most importantly for this dlc and all game content: Let tour paths cross each other and let guest walking paths cross tour paths as well. This is really limiting the game and park design.

Zooming when placing signs for sure

Improve the Raptor Security Pen by allowing us to move them in and OUT of it. Let us open the loading gate as a selectable gate like other paddock gates. Give us a railing view where we can get a little closer to hear them better and maybe glimpse them through the foliage every now and then. Also allow for feeding and escapes if power goes out.

Give us access to the jw fences in the jp era as well and vice versa.

Adding the voltage signs n such to some of the fences

Add Shale to the nublar paints. I think i read it's only on sorna but i could be wrong i haven't checked yet

Give us a feeding mechanic in the aviary

Allow compys to not take up population slots for other dinosaurs

Rangers being eaten also

The beta used the jeeps on the tour track... An adapted version of this to work as a transport mechanism in place of monorail. I dont want a transport rating added, but just for aesthetics and to be more movie like... I'd like to make guests take a jeep from a heli pad to the visitor center. That'd be cool.

Ability in this dlc and all tours to switch between which side starts the tour and which side ends it.

Ability to make fixed straight tour paths like fences and guest paths and not just manipulate curved ones to get it straight.

A few more buildings like restaurant, jp viewer variant, some type of rides like a small kid coaster (bone shaker) or something

RICHARD KILEY TOUR. truly need this, need a voice actor and a unique JP tour version. Hearing the guide talk about gyrospheres is a bit out of place.

Tour narration should trigger based on passing a paddock sign! Especially since the dinos usually are too far away to trigger a tour guide narration about them.

Raptors climbing fences. 😀

Fix the tour trucks so the one in front says 04 and they're not both 05. That was kinda lazy frontier lol.

Where is the iconic T rex padlock? definitely way too many items to improve upon.

Yes like the tunnel leading to it.. The concrete moats. I feel like they could make moats as a fence attachment... Clip it on ether side and it creates a moat on That side of the fence. The moat would only be so long.... So you could have a non moat level side like the Rex paddock side.

OH ALSO WE NEED THE GOAT TO BE CHAINED AND STATIONARY UNTIL EATEN SO IT ACTUALLY LURES THE REX.

Give us a chained lure goat feeder and a free roam normal goat feeder.

  • Allowing us to choose which way Tour Park vehicules starts (left or right).
  • Replace Tour Park path style without deleting it first.
  • Way too many staff members are roaming the park, they are more of them than visitors. We should see them working around facility buildings, not walking around.
  • More small carnivores / Big carnivores interactions, for exemple : I.rex vs Velociraptors.
  • PLEASE at least on sandbox mode, deactivate only herbivorous food need. I'm tired of herbivorous feeders, they should eat from trees and grass.
  • Fix IA : dinosaurs still run like robots from food to water then do the sect circle reunion, let them chill a bit and socialize more naturally.
  • Pack hunting : Velociraptors are still lacking their basic feature, and compys should fight back small carnivores, also kill humans.
  • Dynamic animations : Let big carnivores grab small dinosaurs or human on the run and walk away with them.
  • Message from Hammond / Finch / Security division when a visitor dies. It should be more impactful and punishing.
  • Original Soundtrack : more movie tracks or reinterpretations. I get the ambiant soundesign is really great, but the game is too silent and lacks that unique "Jurassic" vibe that JPOG nailed perfectly.
  • More attractions : Balloon, Viewing Dome, River Cruise.
  • Destructible Gyrosphere and Tour Truck.
  • More reskins of existing buildings, like 93 Viewing Platforms and JW Aviary.
  • JW decorations : lamp, signs, skeleton, amber, fountain, Hammond statue...
  • 1997 InGen modified jeep Wrangler, as alternate ranger vehicule skin.
  • Motorcycle Ranger : rifle on his back, fast and agile, can drive between sauropods legs. Destroyed in one hit, and/or trigger a human attack animation if you stand still.
  • Sand AND shale on every map.
  • Grey scenery rocks. The option to have them grey would be perfect to better match shale brush and redwood trees.

The deactivating herbivores food need is brilliant!!! I bet no one has thought of that as a way to give us a site b grazing ability. I bet frontier has been like ugh how do we equate the grazing animations to give them food??? Just turn their food need off! Brilliant!

Maybe I haven't experimented enough, but in the JP era, it seems like since the tour is the only way your dinosaurs are visible, you're restricted to building your park the same way the campaign park was. All of your visitor buildings in the center, and a tour going in a circle around the outside going through all the exhibits. You can't cross a path over it, and I can't even divide one exhibit into two because I can't put a fence/gate on top of the tour.

This would almost be fine if it weren't for the fact that to do ANYTHING with the tour, you have to not only tear the whole thing down, but you have to deactivate it and let all the vehicles get back to home base before you can destroy it. I like Frontier and I've purchased every DLC for this game but sometimes I wonder if they playtested this one at all.

There needs to be signs on the fences. The same ones we see on the JWE fences. I don't understand how they could put them on the JWE fences but leave them off the actual JP fences. The fences might not have the blue and orange warning lights and the sounds from the movie. But the starting fence at least does have lights on them. I don't know about the others.

They need to remove the driver from the tour vehicles if possible. It looks strange to have a vehicle guided by a track and to have a driver in the vehicle.

Other than that so far the DLC has been fun.

Actually instead of having to place generic shops all over your park to fill guests needs you can now build a park the way it should be built. A visitor area with all the shops and other guest buildings and then you can have your tour go around it. This was basically how the original JP was built. It was even built that way in the novel.

Have static viewing attractions like viewing galleries and so on would mess up the JP safari feel/theme. That means you would have to place galleries all around the park attractions like in the JW side of the game. That's just terrible IMO.

Game just seriously needs era mixing for sandbox at least.

Tour tracks and paths need to be crossable.

I started work on a new 93era sandbox build.... And im just like how is this going to work? Im gonna try it at least 2 different ways and see what it looks like.

I was disappointent you can't load old sandbox modes and switch the era, i guess that was too much work.
