What does Reserve a digital copy mean

Does anybody know what "Reserve a digital copy" Means. I noticed that at 80Pounds you it says that you get a digital download copy of the game plus all future updates.

So does "Reserve a digital copy" just mean that you get the chance to purchase the game when it come out?

Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich
Firstly, welcome to the Frontier Forum.

Now to your question.

It means you get a copy of the game. In hindsight Frontier Developments should have made this clearer as it has been a question that has come up more than once. So if you have pledged say £80 for the digital tier, you already have a copy of the game waiting for you once its finished. Hope that helps you :)

Hi Geraldine

Thanks for the answer and the nice welcome to the forum. I thought that was the case, but while talking to a mate of mind he made me think differently. I'm glad he was wrong.

Already made my pledge and can't wait for E:D to be finished and released.

Thanks
Rich

Hi rich. Welcome to the forum, as the others say it will give you the right to download a digital copy of the game at launch.

It's poorly phrased. To reserve a digital copy means to be first to get a chance to get it when in fact what they mean to say is you WILL get a digital copy.

They should never have used the word 'reserve'

Hmmm. Not the only mistake that was made in this KS - they also shouldn't have limited the £20 pledge. Incidentally, if you pledge at least £20 you 'reserve' a digital copy. ;)

Great to be here, loved all the other versions of the elite

Elite : Spectrum
Elite+: Atari ST
Frontier: A1200
Frontier:pC
First encounter :pC

Can't wait until Elite:Dangerous

well done to us all, we've got to the first stage, lets get Mac and more importantly 10 news ships.

what a brilliant family of people, DB should be really proud of the people that believe in his (and our) dream

Take care
Rich

well i must admit most of the people that first played elite "back in the day" will now be in their 30-40s so it adds to a more mature and responsible atmosphere!

It's not properly worded no :) £20 and above gets you the game (probably a general release download and you get emailed a game key).

If you pledge at the higher tiers you get the boxed game with book, star chart and tshirt ;)
