I want to become Elite... I'll have to start posting a lot more in this forum.
(It would been nicer if you could get Elite status for owning lot of Amiga hardware.... as someone in a different thread thought.)

As for myself, I would only rate a "Poor" or "Adequate" Amiga rating compared to some of the setups I've seen on Amibay

Like most forums there are ranks for how involved in the community you are. We've taken the rankings from Elite and applied them to these rankings. It's just a bit of fun, but I think it will be a while before anyone reaches Elite status
so if i post things a lot more often, i get another ranking:S?
Yes... or rather... it don't have to do with how often you post... it's the total number of post you've done since you joined the forum.
I was also "mostly harmless" when I joined.... since then I have done about 85-90 posts... so now I'm "above average"
just have to do 5910 more to become "Elite"
(Fsck that this isn't the swedish Amiga forum Safir (http://safir.amigaos.se). There I have done something like 2200posts.... A third what is needed to become "Elite" here.

It does, but don't go spamming posts just to improve your ranking, deleted posts don't count towards the total

I always wondered about Sinclairs. Since it was a British computer... did they spell font "fount"? Since fount is the correct UK English way to spell font. In the same way colour is spelled with an U...

it is the British company Sinclair Research Ltd who built the Spectrums. That's why ZX Spectrum runs Sinclair BASIC... So... since the British way to spell font is "fount", do Sinclair BASIC spell font "fount" or not?

the British way of spelling font is font, if you mean font being letter type i.e times new roman, arial etc..
It's our American cousins who use the older version of words like color instead of colour and armor instead of armour.
So in Sinclair basic it should be font

That's not entirely correct. I was discussing things just like the concept that Americans spell colour "color" and British spell it "colour" with an English linguist. We got into the fact that I work with computers and the linguist told me as a nerd I may want to know that the word font really means "source" and is implemented in computing as a metaphor to describe "the source of the characters" (since a font is a set of all characters). He is also the one who told me that the British spelling of the word font (as in source) is "fount". You can derive from words such as "fountain", meaning a "water-source" (or "the fountain of youth", which is a metaphor for "the source of eternal life".).
