battle chess? really? i still own a copy for the amiga! never played to often, i'm a bad chess player.

Frontier
Pioneer (by now, i didn't play to often, been allways outlasted with my models in general, fascinating!).
- a long pause
Sport Car GT (have to mount the wheel and pedal first)
Ports of Call (sometimes, on emulated amiga, PC release is crap)
SimCopter (costs my nerves, it hangs more often the newer my computer gets)
Zool 2 (of course amiga to, if ever i like to play a jump & run)
Need for Speed High Stakes (only because of my models i did for, i simply love to drive my creations or partwise altered ones, i like oldtimers, that's the main reason for sports car)

I just recently bought a brand new copy of Planescape Torment. I had been looking for this for quite some time. Also downloaded some useful mods for it here http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/Torment/index_mods.php
has anybody seen anything about a game thats meant to be coming out on the xbox this month call darkstar one? it looks very frontier like from the brief amounts i've seen
Its the same game that came out about 4 years ago on the pc,standard Elite clone nothing to get excited about.

Must be a nod to Frontier as it starts with the Blue Danube, noticed a couple of things from the trailer, seems as if there's a bounty hunter side to it, noticed a weapons boost message pop up, seems to have a very busy background with galaxys and huge nebula etc, a role playing element, and wormholes.
Looks as if they are pitching a mix of Frontier, X series etc.

What Iam wondering about is have they changed the story or is it just the same as the pc version?

Quite a reasonable price - DX1 alone would probably be much more expensive.

well its ok, decent gameplay,good graphics,nice music decent storyline but also with free roaming, not as good as frontier but worth a blast till elite4 comes out (hopefully!)
What's it like playing with the joypad? and have you had any problems with bugs in the game?.
no bugs spotted so far,everything seems ok. as for the joy pad its all fairly well thought out in terms of controls and if elite4 were to ever come out with a simliar control method i wouldnt have any problems with it.

Into space,
Walk aroun on the ship

Currently playing:
- Burnout Paradise - Much better than I thought it was going to be. About 75% complete. Love the multiplayer challenges. The netcode is a bit random at times though.
- Left 4 Dead 2 - More of the same only a bit harder and with melee weapons. Only played through the first 2 co-op campaigns and the finale events were depressingly similar. Still fun though.
- Saints Row 2 - Still undecided on this one. The port is shocking, and driving with a keyboard is an "interesting" experience (instant full lock). Might try and mix of keyboard & mouse and controller.
- Killing Floor - Much harder than I thought it was going to be. Don't have enough friends that play it at the moment, but a good time waster.
