What GPU do you have in your PC?

EVGA 750ti SC 2gb. 1920x1080. 100-120 fps in space, 40-50 on planet. Mostly high/ultra but with the odd fps hog like shadows on medium.

That would be my ASUS STRIX Nvidia 980 Ti. With this version of the GPU, it's fully equipped/modified with 6GB GDDR5 video memory, dual 10-mm heatpipes, GPU fortifier + backplate to prevent bending over time, triple patented wing-blade 0db fans, GPU-tweak software and built with aerospace grade alloys. And I'm just so amazed on how far technology has went; the fans are super-quiet and yet they are much cooler despite the popular old notion that you had to have louder fans to make it run cooler back then.

More TI's than regular 980's, you lot must have money trees growing in your gardens. I thought my GTX980 was rather pricey

I'm on a laptop running an 840M. Sans Horizons I could pootle around space with low graphics settings with a lovely smooth frame-rate. Out exploring I could turn on the Ultra. With Horizons, it's low all over if I want to go anywhere near a planet and even then it's sluggish.

I'm looking at building a mid-range PC (high end i5 or low end i7) with a 750Ti or a 950 (something for about £150) in that hope that'll keep me going for another few seasons.

So if we start to check the result as of now, there are some interesting numbers.

We know that 1.4 million copies was sold last year, we do not know how many actual players we have, however lets estimate.

Some, own more than one copy, so if there are 1.000.000 people who own the game we can try to see where they are according to the GPU chart.

I will use a low confidence level (95%) and set the margin of error to 5 %, we have a total of 415 people who has informed about what their GPU model is.

The top card owned by ED players are:

1.GTX 970
2.GTX 980 TI
3.GTX 980
4.GTX 760
5.GTX 960

The mid range GPU's is estimated to be around 62%
The High end cards is estimated to be around 34%
The low range GPU card are estimated to be around 4%

This is very interesting, because it actually shows that 96% of the players do have hardware that can handle complex graphics in the game. All the upper mid range card owners, report that their FPS are in the +30 range in average.

After reading this thread I splashed out on a Zotac GTX 970, all I can say is WOW, not only do I now get 60fps everywhere with lovely definition I'm sure it runs faster and smoother between screens!

In my old PC i got a Gigabyte GTX 460 OC and could play ED on Medium settings.
However the dual core CPU and GPU gotten quite hot and i had to remove the side cover.

Thats why i did upgrade my PC, otherwise the 5 years old PC would still been enought for the most games.

To the OP.: why not display the actual numbers and the % ?
My newer system was already counted ;)

I will include it at the next update :)

I have:

- GeForce GTX 650 Ti on my desktop
- Intel HD Graphics 3000 on my laptop

Both play Elite Dangerous just fine, with Horizons only working on the desktop.
