What happens if you attack clean ships with no cargo?

Newcomer / Intro What if you attack clean ships?

In a non anarchy system, as long as you don't kill the ship, you will become Wanted in the system where you attacked it. You will be given a 400cr fine and will stay Wanted in that system for about 8 minutes or so. You want to jump to another system, where you are not wanted and wait until the 8 minutes expire, then jump back into the system where you attacked the clean ship and dock into one of its stations to pay the 400cr fine. You can see the wanted status in the left nav panel, under the "Transactions" tab, I believe. It will show how much is the fine, which system and how long will the wanted status last for. When the timer gets down to zero, it will show "ON-JUMP", which means that you need to jump out of the system and back to clear the wanted status and go pay the fine (or if you were already out of the system, just jump back). If you killed the clean ship, you will be wanted for 7 days and have to pay a much larger fine. Note that If you try and approach any of the stations of the system where you attacked the clean ship before your wanted status is cleared, there is a good chance that the police will attack and decimate you, if they scan you on the way in to the station. If you just leave the system and never come back to pay the fine, I am not sure but I think it will turn into a bounty. Someone else will confirm that part. I always paid my fines so far... - you get a bounty on your head for the attack, unless you're in an anarchy system
- you get a higher bounty on your head if you kill them, unless you're in an anarchy system
- you don't get any cargo
- you can get micromaterials when you kill them
- if you attack players (PvP), you may get into trouble with their friends and/or system security player groups, no matter what state the system is in
- if you attack and kill newbs in Sideys while flying a superior ship yourself, you may get a reputation as a seal clubber wirth the entailing consequences
- if you attack another player in a private group which prohibits these attacks, you will get expelled from that group
- if you attack other players, they might complain (e.g. here or on reddit)
