What is an animal that you really want but you're not sure is making it?

Gibbons - yet again, I would be fine with brachiation done via enrichment items, but if they were not in SEA, I feel pretty bad about them.

Sloths - obviously an animal that does not move too much, but still could be done via enrichment too. Just make an enrichment tree where they would sleep and feed and only make them go down very rarely or to mate.

Apart from that I have few that I fear that their chaince already passed, like Red River Hog, Honey Badger, Maned wolf, Kiwi and a few others.

Honey badger - deserts pack
River hog, maned wolf - tropical pack
Kiwi - yea you're probably right

I'm gonna say this: the beautiful North American gray fox.

The big chance was a NA pack. Nada.

I have only 1, just 1 other possible (but unlikely) chance, and it's a hypothetical Temperate pack.

No joke it's the only animal I truly want in the game. All the others I'm happy with, I would use. But if there's only 1 animal that I want, it's this guy.

C'mon Frontier, give me my fox. What do I have to do for y'all to give it to me😝?!

These are the animals that I really want but I AM NOT SURE they make them:

Hartebeest (Alcelaphus)
Ankole-Watusi
Common Wildebeest
Guanaco
Deer
Przewalski horse
Red fox
Caracal
Addax
Emu

I would have more but ... There are others that I have not put because I think they will end up doing them but these are the ones that I'm not sure they will do.

I have just looked it on Google and I must say you are right. These are real beauties. Personally I would not mind to get them as a third or fourth fox (if we get an red fox.. I could also live with the tibetian fox as a fifth fox 😀). But yes, I also think we will probably do not get them.

What is also cool is their ability to climb trees to escape predators and the like

I just looked up at Wikipedia to get more information about them. Interestingly they are no classic foxes and were the first dog species splitting away from the rest. So genetically they are more distinct from the other foxes than the other foxes from for example the wolf. So there is no real reason ("Not again another fox" and other complaints 😀) to not give them to us.

Manatees, Tree Kangaroos, Platypus, Musk Ox, Fossa, Gibbon...I just don't see how they will get into the game.
I still maybe foolishly think that animals high on meta list like gibbon Fossa or tree kangaroos still have a chance in tropical pack. Maybe along with capybara, red River hogs, maned wolfs and sloths or coatis. That would make a pack I would buy instantly 🤩

Cloud rats, slow loris, and any species of genet or civet are at the top of my "really want but probably won't make it in-game" wants. And at this point? I'm feeling like we won't get a North American river otter or asian small-clawed otters either so add them to the mix as well...

Of course, I also said that about the binturong...

Any more than a handful of birds. Other animals that I'm somewhat invested in but unsure as to their likelihood are the takin, the red river hog, and any small cats other than maybe the most-requested (Eurasian lynx).

The only two popular wishlist animals that I don't want to see in the game are the platypus and walrus--both fare poorly in captivity (there is precisely one institution outside Australia which keeps them) and captive walruses have to have their tusks removed, taking away a lot of their casual appeal. That being said, Frontier seems to have struck a good balance of picking popular wishlist animals while also highlighting animals that are less popular but actually have significant captive presence (e.g. the prairie dog, African penguin, and babirusa). I just hope, selfishly, that they pick the ones I want in the future. ;)

Regarding Platypus, there's an ongoing effort to introduce them to more zoos worldwide precisely because they finally figured out how to make them fare well in captevity, with SDZ being the kickstarters.

Sumatran or mayalan tigers. I would have preferred them in the game over bengals since there aren’t any (as far as I am aware) pure Bengal tigers outside of their native range. But I think the community would flip out if there was another tiger added to the game when we’re lacking in a lot more smaller cat species
