What is greater FPS limiting factor in this game? CPU or video card?

I have 4 Ghz i7 with an Nvidia 970 and 16 Gig of RAM. Frame rates are not good even at the start of a scenario at default resolution of 2560x1600.

it wont have much to do with either since the game hasn't been optimised yet. We expect it will run better post-launch with updates. But right now even 6700k users ot 6, 8 or 10-core processor users with gtx1080's have problems with framerates on a big park

the game is in beta so it's gonna be more optimised later

I would say the game is fairly well optimised already; I had quite a large performance jump, going between the Alpha and the Beta.

That said, the game is pretty demanding on both, but I'd say that the game is more demanding on your CPU than your GPU.

I would say now the game is more GPU dependent than CPU at this point. I see significant fps changes when I change the graphic settings of the game

Typically it has to do with the GPU, because that actually renders what's on screen. But CPU and RAM also influence it indirectly. My desktop has a 650 with 24 gb ram and an FX8350. It runs just like any other game, that is, on Medium. It runs on Ultra on my laptop with a 970m (ram is identical and CPU is comparable). The ram improvement (from 8 to 24) didn't change anything, and the CPU load is relatively low during play

I'm running i7-5820 and a 970. Frame rates for me in a pretty good size park are usually around 35-40. Which I find perfectly acceptable. And a significant improvement over alpha. I'm running high settings and outputting 4k
