What is happening with cargo hauling missions

I noticed that stations and outposts seem to offer long haul 250-300 ly hauling missions only where you have to move 200+ cargo units. Only that kind of missions are available. Where is balance and diverse selection of mission to chose from depending on a ship you're flying. To handle those you either have to pilot a long range Cargoconda or MOST PREFERRED NOW a type 8 and that is it, beacuse a Conda or Cutter wont sit on an M sized pad. Of course if you have time you can bring inyour carrier and jump in and that is ~1 hr depending on a server load., or take your trusty python and do 6-12 jumps + refuel stops and that takes lot of time too. Somthing has changed in job offers, there were more closer range haulage, data transfers you could do in a small ship. Now, I travelled to my favorite spots in different parts of bubble and all I see are long range hauls only. About a year ago that long hauls where only available on thursdays and those where nice additiond to regular offers, now since latest patch - long range or nothing. Pity that developers with release of a new ship modified bulletin boards with jobs only to spawn offers tailroed for that new ship, others have to "walk on foot", waste more time, etc, pretty much close to pay to win, shouldn't be like that.

FWIW, these are generally only available for a short period (up to 1 hour) after the daily tick.[1][2]

It's... difficult to determine what's going on, but to cut a very long story short, we know the mission boards aren't random, they're procedurally generated according to rules, and it's likely those rules include a history of previously generated missions. Towards that end, it's likely there's some logic that says something like "If you've seen lots of missions like this recently, don't generate more", which is kept in balance constantly as more missions generate (this would also explain why mission boards are "blobby"). On top of that, mission boards are generated dynamically, on-demand.

What I suspect is happening is that these are meant to be a mission type, and at the daily tick, mission board stats reset... this is because states change, factions arrive or depart etc etc..

Since these missions are usually seen after the tick it suggests that a counter resets which allows them to spawn as expected... but for some reason, after they've been spawned a few times, their generation stats "go weird" in that something happens which prevents them generating anymore.

For busy systems, these missions dry up super fast. For low/zero traffic systems, you can see these missions spawn for around an hour, maybe even longer, after a tick.

So... the specifics around how these missions spawn is somewhat opaque, but it also appears they, like so many other things, are bugged.

[1] If you're suggesting they're available all the time, every time, throughout a long period, I'm keen to hear some of the locations this occurs... not that the game actually runs anymore for me :/
[2] It's been a while, but I thought maybe this was the Thargsday tick.. but yeah... been too long.

Sounds like there is simply unfavorable fraction states/conditions at moment for most part. Mission types tend to be tied to specific fraction states and some are extreme in that way, that only specific kind of mission is being offered for said factions states....

But that is also something I did noticed and its being point out - t8 is relased, and somewhat missions that favors it (such as these long range as OP did mentioned), are seems to have priority over standard haulage missions pool.

That being said, at my few usual mission hotspots (where I am allied to all local and neighbor fractions) I still can see usual missions of any types. Seems like there is indeed slightly shift towards these long range ones as OP mentioned, but still I could find other types of cargo haul missions like usual it did, but again yeah, seems like these there is like invisible hand that makes certain missions spawn bit more that are mysteriously are perfect for T8.

But its not suprising, Fdevs did similar in past... It makes sense (from thier perspective) if they want players to test newest toy to play, with that diffrence its actually behind p2a (pay-to-access) wall, and those who aint want spend real $ then need to wait a bit.
