Ship Builds & Load Outs What is the coldest running ship ?

Hello fellow Commanders,

How can we outfit a very cold ship for the fun of it ?
- shieldless ship with A-rated, g3 Low emissions PP
- D rated thrusters with clean drive G5

Active modules :
Thrusters
Power plant

Stand-by modules (activated only if necessary) :
Life support
Sensors (docking requests)
Scoop
Shield
Distributor
FSD
Hatch

I read here and there that ships have 'hardcoded' heat efficiency, like 2 ships with similar loadout not generating/dissipating the same heat for the same actions (like boosting + fsd-charging at the same time)

Any ship suggestion ? What about DB Scout, courier, AspX, anaconda,python, other ship that i missed ? Which would have the lowest heat with a setup like this ?

DBS and DBX have very low base heat output.

Not sure anything is better.

DBS works great because it is fast and has 4 utility slots for heat sinks.

My stealth DBS even has g5 dirty drives and can pootle around in silent running for ages with 12 heat sinks.

Has to have A-rated power plant, if you go with cool. That has 0.4 thermal/MW used (not the max output, mind you). B as well, but that increases weight and thus thruster heat, so A for those who want to import their medicinal herbs in peace.

DBS and DBE are the two ships with the most heatcapacity, even beating large ships like corvette and conda.

heat largely depends on power used ---- if you fit undersized d-class thrusters, and e-class internals which use the least power (e-class sensors for exampel), you'll end with a perma frozen ship.

DBS would be even better, because smaller non-optoinal moduls -> less heat generated. i did the black rivbband smuggler run in a dbs for a reason ^^

it is an interesting question, whether it would be better to fit dirty- or clean drive thrusters, because clean drive needs more power.

I'll try to outfit both DB when i get the creds then, i'll post updates on the winner

No b-rated power plant, the point is to have the best heat efficient modules along with the less heat generating ones. I am not sure about thrusters though, i think E-rated would be better on the power usage point, but they will add weight and lower maneuverability
