What is the median CR balance for all commanders?

That's why the median makes more sense, the Bezos in this galaxy would really make the average ridiculous.

Agree, but now that takes some coding logic:
The "mode" is the value that occurs most often. If no number in the list is repeated, then there is no mode for the list.

You would have to round the list of CR balances to the nearest X for that to be practical.

I have ~1.5 billion credits at the moment. It's the most I've ever owned. The majority of that came from cashing in exploration data from DW2.

I have historically hovered around the 500 million mark.

I've played since Nov. 2016.

An analysis of Inara CMDRs was carried out some time ago:

~ 82% commanders are having less than 1 billion in credits
~ 18% are having more than 1 billion in credits
~ 7% are having more than 2 billions in credits
~ 2% are having more than 5 billions
~ 0.7% are having more than 10 billions
~ 0.2% are having more than 20 billions

Nah, kept them all. Just sold the frame. Most everything is engineered and I don’t feel like jumping through those hoops again.

I know a cmdr (not on Inara) that has around 150 billion. I believe him cuz credit farming is all he does, day in and day out.

I think the median would be a lot less. There’s an awful lot of harmless asp commanders out there. This forum and places like Shinrarta give you a false impression because all the long time fans are noisy.

I’m currently currently sitting around 13 billion iirc... Most of it is tired up in ships though, I only have 3 billion in cash and like many others I’m saving for a carrier. the real cash cows are the mining enthusiasts some of them have 50 bil or so..
