What is your go-to credit making method for big ships?

Why don't you just go and do the thing you bought the big ship for? If you just wanted own a Cutter well....cool you own one....bask!

I myself got the merc route you got yourself some unruly Opposition that needs to be " introduced" to the vaccum of space I will take care of it. Oh do I love high paying massacre missions

Haz-Res bounty hunting.

This is how I got started and made my first few hundred million (weren't any haz res back then, just res, I think.

Now though, it's still fun but not very productive compared to passenger or delivery missions.

If you really want to make a lot, get a big ship outfitted with a lot of cabins, then stack Colonia missions, scan all the way out and back. You'll have a bundle but you might hate the game by then.

There are systems outside the bubble that you can make a lot of credits doing passenger missions. If you can fit 8 cabins with a minimum of 8 per cabin, you can make 60-70m/hour in the right systems. I am currently averaging right around the 60m/hour mark with 8 cabins in my Corvette.
