What Music do you Listen to for PZ?

Ok, weird thread, but I'm curious:

When playing Planet Zoo, do y'all sometimes listen to other music that's not in-game?
If so, what is it? Does it inspire you?

In my case, I'm old fashioned. I may have grown up in the 2000s, but I just don't like the music today so I like old stuff, such as:
  • Beyond the Sea (or the original La Mer version)
  • Last Train to London
  • Bueno Sera
Just to name a few. Occasionally I do get inspiration. Once I was listening to a 30s swing song called Bearcat Shuffle, and it inspired.me to build for some binturongs (which had just been released, too).
Another time I listened to Crocodile Rock (by Elton John, not the Baha Men, although the latter brings back some Crocodile Hunter memories), and it inspired me to do a lemur habitat (ok I lied, it wasn't lemurs, but still)


So, what about y'all?

Funnily enough, I listen to the Planet Zoo Music themes for the different regions/DLCs that you can play in game via the speakers. Some of the tracks are part of the newly released album "You, me & other habitats" by Frontier.
Such a shame we don't have an option to choose these pieces of music as soundtrack for the game, they are beautiful and deserve more spotlight.

Mostly instrumental songs from other games or movies. eg. Hikari no willpower from DBZ or Oracion from the 10th Pokemon Movie.

But I also like listening to ballads by my favorite band "Versengold"

Or I like it when someone talks in the background (I used to be in Teamspeak with others and I often just listened while I was playing) today the "Sportschau" in the live stream often takes over. I love winter sports or athletics, so when things get exciting I quickly switch out of the game. 😅

Wow, it's so interesting how some listen to just the in-game stuff while others multitask with sports and/or speaking to friends

The Planet Zoo music is so beautifully done, that it's what I listen to when I play the game. Sometimes i even listen to it at other times, like at work (we have a no TV/video during work policy but music is fine). At times it's peaceful and calming, and can evoke a sense of wonder and joy. It's honestly my favorite game soundtrack made to date.

I play (non game) music all the time in the background. Right now it is Lana Del Rey, I am a huge fan and her music relaxes me and pulls me through annoying Building stuff 😁

I'm stuck on repeat 😅...
Been listening to the Stargate Overture and also the Star Trek Original Series theme.

The former sucks you into an alien world and adventure while the latter feels so much like a sitcom, yet still wondrous

I mean, if you prefer people anger screeching over soothing surround sound, then sure, that's how you play the game. Not gonna judge (total weirdo👀)
