I wont pick any power.

I roleplay a Federation Lieutenant, I hunt and kill its offenders, and help maintain federal control in rebelling systems.
I don't give a f about politics, and I certainly will not choose to pledge allegiance to a person. I don't fight to make the president happy, I fight for a cause I choose.

After looking at the videos on youtube and seeing the overview of all the powers. The only one that is Independent and isn't Corporate, would have to be Pranav Antal. The only disappointing is his Ethos, I would of loved of seen.

Preparation - Covert
Planting Evidence and Exposing corruption,

Expansion - Covert
Saving the System from corruption of their own officials and misguided bureaucrats.

Control - Social
Sustaining media focus on system wealth and family safety under Pranav Antal sway.

Well, if Pranav Antal gets bumped off the top 10 hopefully another Independent will have these in there Ethos. Doesn't matter if its a he or a she.

Nope. I have enjoyed every minute I have put into ED, there was no "grind" involved. Not getting at you daan, just the "grind" concept.

My choice will be to stay as I am, no PP for my character. He left politics behind when he pick up his first starship.

Archon Delaine to get my anti shield tech, I will be fighting against Federation/Aisling/Patreus, whoever is the closest enemy.

Then I will defect to Aisling to get awesome shields, and I will be fighting against Patreus mainly (I thought they would be on the same side, anyway, screw them.

Once I get my shields I will defect to Arissa Lavigny and stay with her, fighting against Aisling until I can join Lady Kahina, where I plan to remain loyal with my overpowered ship.

In other words: I'll join factions as an opportunist to get the best equipment, but deep down I'm loyal to Arissa and Kahina, and I will be fighting against their enemies regardless of what power I'm signed at that moment. (Lets call it covert ops)

I'm kinda stuck. I was going to align with whatever imperial power came to control the system I call home. Checking out the beta, it seems no power is even remotely close to exploiting my area of space. So my options are:
A) pick one which is close and bring it's power to my home; or
B) wait til we can raise our own powers, and raise a new imperial power based around there.

Seems like I will jump on the shields/shield breaker boat unless something changes which makes the system reward loyalty instead of faction hopping.

Looking at those stats I sympathise with Aisling Duval, Mahon and even Winters.

But I'm not sure I'll participate in this at all, as it eventually depends on the reports how time-consuming it will be. If it's too much for me, then no thanks.
